Went with a group of about 15 Khmer and Europeans. Band on an volume level so high ,just no ability to hear anyone unless directly next to you. Waiting staff did exactly that and stood so far away from table ,was hard to get their attention . When that was achieved, it was hard for them to communicate even with Khmer as they struggled to hear. The place was at best only 25% busy. Some of our group gave up and left ,mainly due to volume. Very pleasant manager came to table as was obvious not going well. Thanked us for our collective feedback and stated would chase up my overdue food order. As issues continued manager returned but even with Khmer he could not hear what was being said. I realised another 10 mins had passed still no food and engaged with manager again stating if he was the manager but could not communicate with Khmer speakers was that not enough evidence to reduce volume of music. A very nice polite manager but totally ineffective . I stated was not staying waiting for food any longer and if manager thought volume was fine seeing customers leaving and he and his staff struggling to communicate, then fine but clearly not the venue for anything other than party gathering .I have never ever walked out of any place cancelling a meal. This is called " Relaxed pub " ???? The Khmer folk with us were all high end professional hotel staff so know what good management and service is about. If you want relaxed environment in well.managed venue then maybe The Relaxed pub is...
Read moreThe Relax pub is a nice atmosphere, nice setting and nice music.. although when the band have finished they then play loud gangsta rap New York style with bad language etc.. not really appropriate for the audience and diners, although I don't think that the staff or management are aware of the English/US lyrics and slang in the songs. The food was very nice although a bit pricey for what it was. My main criticism though, is that when I went to the bathroom/toilets to wash my hands after eating, two staff members came out, one out of a cubicle and one using the urinal and neither of them washed their hands... they simply walked out of the bathroom without washing their hands and commenced to hand out plates of food to customers... that's not what I or any customer would want to see, please management train your staff about...
Read moreThis place offers a spacious outdoor setting with decent service and music. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the outdoor seating can feel quite hot and uncomfortable—especially during the March to May heat. Like many similar spots, prices aren’t exactly low. Overall, an okay experience if you're looking for a casual drink with a...
