I recently visited Boston Pizza in Canmore while traveling from Vancouver, BC, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations, mainly due to the conduct of the manager on duty, Sandeep. From the start, I felt that the way we were treated was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I asked a few simple questions about the menu items, but instead of receiving clear answers, the responses from the manager were indirect and unhelpful. For example, when I asked about the garlic bread that usually comes with two slices in an order, his reply in a condescending tone was: “How many number do you need?” This kind of response felt very unprofessional and dismissive of a genuine question. Additionally, when I requested that the chicken be placed on the side of the pasta, rather than mixed in, his body language and tone gave the impression that he didn’t want to accommodate the request. His reply was a flat, reluctant “oh sure,”after which he abruptly took away our menus without even confirming if we were ready or had any further questions. That lack of courtesy stood out immediately. Later in the evening, I asked the server who the manager was, and she initially told me it was Rahul Sharma and mentioned he was available to talk. A short while later, however, she came back and said he had left, which seemed odd, especially since I could clearly see him through the window as I was leaving. The lack of transparency and honesty in this interaction only added to the frustration. To make matters worse, I also noticed the owner was present, yet no effort was made to acknowledge or address the situation. As a tourist visiting from Vancouver, I was genuinely disappointed by how poorly we were treated. Restaurants are often the face of hospitality in a town, especially one as popular with visitors as Canmore, and the attitude displayed by the management during my visit felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. This is not the type of service one expects from a well-known brand like Boston Pizza. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the way customers are treated makes a lasting impression. For me, this experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and it will definitely make me reconsider returning or recommending this location to others. A manager’s role is to set the tone for service and hospitality, and in this case, the tone was the opposite of what a guest should experience. What stood out the most to me during this visit was not the food itself, but the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the management team. As a customer, it was uncomfortable to feel like my questions and requests were treated as an inconvenience rather than as a normal part of dining out. It wasn’t just one instance—it was a pattern throughout the evening. This was disappointing because Boston Pizza is usually a place I associate with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, and that reputation was not upheld here. I left feeling like I had to justify myself for asking very basic questions about the menu, which should never happen in a...
Read moreHorrible service. Came here with a group 10, it wasn’t very busy probably 4 other tables. Got our order in quickly but it took 40 minutes for one food dish to come out. After that the dishes came out one by one about 5 minutes after one another so in the end everyones food got cold because we were wanting to eat together. Also they totally forgot our appetizer we had to ask for it. On top of that 8/10 dishes were messed up and 7 of them were the ribs. Messed up everyones sides we had to continually tell them that we didnt order that specific side and then they would take that one dish back and bring it back in 2 minutes. One of our members ordered soup and it came out extremely salty and wasn’t edible at all. Couldnt tell anyone because we probably only saw our waitress Chloe 2 times that night. After finishing our food we tried waving down our waitress for the bill 3 times but she didnt come at all. We tried waving down another waitress to be told that she’ll help us after checking up on another table but never ended up coming. After our waitress finally came for our bill she messed up on the splitting of the bill and took another 5-10 minutes to come back with the bill again. After receiving the bills, we noticed it was still messed up but we just wanted to leave at that point. It then took 10 more minutes for our waitress to come back so we can actually pay but when she came out she told us she needed to help another table out first and left again. Total time spent here was 2 1/2 hours and majority of the time we spent waiting for the food and waiting for the bill. During the entire time there we saw alot of tables who came after us leave before us. Extremely...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in at the Boston pizza in Canmore and our experience was not great. There were so many tables available, yet we were seated directly beside an extremely loud family. We did end up asking to be moved. My husband ordered the chicken tenders and fries and specifically asked for plum sauce, but received ranch. He called over our waitress and asked her again for plum sauce, which she went to get but ended up seating two other tables and took one table's order while my husband's waiting for his plum sauce so he could eat his chicken which at this point was no longer hot. I ordered the poutine with bacon and maple gravy. The gravy had more lumps in it than bacon, and I had to keep pushing the lumps to the side so I could eat. Our server finally came with the plum sauce when my husband had 2 pieces of tenders left. Once she dropped that off, she never came back to our table to ask how the food tasted. In fact, she never went back to anybody's table once she served them, but the other 2 waitresses were very attentive to their customers. It was another waitress who came to my husband and I to make sure our new table was suitable. When I sit at a restaurant, all I expect is a waitress or waiter to ask if we need anything else and how our food tastes. Isn't that part of their job? We chose to spend our money at Boston Pizza, we could have eaten anywhere. Expensive dinner for mediocre food and lousy service. I doubt we'll eat there again. I'd rather eat at the Boston Pizza in Olds, the food is way better and so is...
