You do not feel you are getting gouged; as a tourist I'm so happy I found this gem in Canmore. The staff; professional, courteous,Tasha I believe her name was, rock star, taking care of 3.5 tables on the patio, probably 3 more inside. 8 people on the patio, 9 inside, didn’t see her with any back up, did see a guy (bartender?) run food out once. The location; main Street Canmore, you can walk there from everywhere. -we shared the Calamari; Amazing, it’s market fresh tubes sliced into circles in the kitchen, lightly battered in their own soft spiced batter. They deep fry it to perfection: not over cooked and not balls of deep fried grease ; their 4th secret is the addition of yellow and red banana peppers sliced/battered/deep fried and served amongst the calamari for a pleasant surprising zing, the marinara sauce , prepared in house with their own blend of spices, the white tzatziki sauce, I think from a tub but still yummy. -my Philly steak sandwich, best I have ever had anywhere. It was loaded and could not be eaten hand held, it was big; fork and knife big . Lol I got my money worth lol -my wife had the steak sandwich, industry standard 6oz good flavor, it’s always great or bad depending where you eat. And steak sandwiches don’t usually get the BAmm or wow effect except in one restaurant I go to but, it’s a 12 oz lol . -please when in town take the time to enjoy this restaurant, I hear the pizza is second to no one. And your bang for your buck in a tourist town is 100% Enjoy Leonardo S .Saskatoon Sk

I think we've found our go to pizza and ribs place! Yay! My boys couldn't stop raving about the ribs throughout their meal. Very good online menu system. Glad to see this convenience available to customers without the guilt of ordering thru Skip the dishes. Seeing a menu online and ordering directly is undeniably more comfortable for most people, myself included. Food is ready on time, hearty and filling. Pizza is loaded thick and delicious. No skimpy pizzas here. Staff is friendly and informative. Lots of parking and easy to find. Not fancy dancy, as my son would say, but a reliably tasty family meal everytime. Only 2 slight cons: 1) The kid's burger and Caesar salad were not that tasty in my opinion. The important part is that the kiddo ate it all up quietly and seemly happily so who cares what my adult opinion of the kids meal is. 🤗 2) The baked lasagna was not made with the traditional wide pasta placed neatly one layer on top of another. I didn't expect it to be but I'm always hoping. Patrinos makes it the same style as most restaurants: sauce covered mini lasagna noodles randomly piled into a baking dish. BUT their version is definitely better than most with loads of cheese on top, plus spinach and feta.

Ahh...Patrinos. This place had potential with a nice setting, beautiful views and a very nice and friendly wait staff. But alas the food was very average. Had a seafood linguine that while generous in the amount of seafood tasted like something I could put together...and I'm not a great cook. My dish was a braised beef with penne pasta. This dish had potential and actually was quite flavorful but unfortunately was served warm instead of hot. I'm not sure why as the seafood linguine was nice and hot with steam coming off of it. Finally the bread served was cold and dry. While cold bread isn't the end of the world it was also pretty dry. Sorry Patrinos. Nice place, nice people with mediocre food. Update- May 2022. Gave it a try and ordered the House special pizza to go. The pizza was deep dish style and loaded with tons of toppings. A bit pricey compared to other local options but I feel like it was worth that extra expense.

Let me start with what my wife had a few days ago. She ordered the item "Mediterranean". It was absolutely awesome - I tried it too and it was great. So why am I giving only three stars? It is because of what I ordered. I ordered the prime rib. Really looked forward to it. It was hands down the worst prime rib I ever had. I find it hard to believe that they would even serve an overcooked and tough piece of meat, which was grayish-brown throughout, and call it prime rib. In no way did it look or taste like prime rib. I was not the only person to return it to the kitchen that day. It seemed to me as if it was a piece of leftover meat that was then frozen to be served another day, which may explain why it took so long to be served. It probably had to be thawed out first. Of course, I can't say for sure that is what happened, but that was my impression. My wife tasted it and she said it was the worst piece of beef she ever had. Even the waitress said it did not look like prime rib. OK, so on the positive side, a manager came over to our table and offered to make things right. Since it was too late to order a different menu item at that point, she said she would take my order off the bill. That was reasonable, especially since I had eaten the mashed potatoes and vegetables (which were very good). And then I helped my wife eat her substantial and delicious meal. So, I would eat here again if I had the opportunity, but I would just stay away from the prime rib - they just don't know...

TL;Dr: Excellent food, APPALLING SERVICE

Looking for a nice meal to end our holidays we chose Patrinos and having read the good reviews we turned up with high expectations. I ordered the prime rib and requested it rare. The waiter came back and said that it would be closer to medium and I confirmed that this would be ok, but please make it as rare as they could given the kitchen constraints. What turned up was well done at best which our table waiter agreed was not what was asked, he agreed to swap the steak and suggested that a different steak could be cooked more to my liking. At this point all seemed ok and had been handled well.

Shortly after reordering (and before it arriving) a gentleman I assume to be either the head waiter or owner came over and proceeded to berate me and my table companions over wasting food and suggesting I shouldn't have ordered the rib in the first place. This tirade upset one of our party so much that she continued eating well after she was full in order to avoid another tounge lashing.

The food was excellent but extremely let down by the senior staff. Our actual table waiter was excellent and resolved the problem immediately, had nothing further been done I would have awarded at least 4 stars however I have never been more offended in a restaurant and my rating reflects this...
