Undesirable experince with the Filipina cashier (short, colored-hair, full make up yet facial expressions were terrible).

It was the first time (my partner and I) to dine in at Edo Japan Canmore. We expectedly had an adjustment on ordering, we gently asked the staff about bento to clarify the price and varieties, she just pointed her finger on the menu from the top screen without providing details (with eyebrows high and sarcastic face). Our friend whom we visited in Canmore also requested to substitute rice to noodles for his Teriyaki bowl order, she said "no, it's not possible" with strong attitude and tone on her voice. It was strange cause he ordered it before already. We just let her do her thing and didn't call her out. Not sure how she does that to people whose sole intention is just to eat and have fun.

Hope the management would raise the importance of good customer service, it was a gloomy weather yet her attitude was gloomier. Not a very good reason to keep such employee. Also, the food was mediocre. She didn't have the slightest reason to show...

A great spot for quick, simple meals. Same menu from the franchise but much nicer than the one in Banff (basement of a shopping mall in Banff) -- staff are helpful, friendly & kind. Clean facility, food is prepared right. Pricing in line with fast food & the rest of the industry. Offering same meal in "bowl" or "Bento box". The real bonus is the bubble tea! only 5 flavours but good enough for a cool, sweet drink with tapioca -- my pick is the Taro flavour (the rest is just colour drink with other types of topping). There are parking in the lot outside but it is often full. It is at the corner of Benchlands Trail and Bow Valley, a bottleneck spot for getting out (the town should install a set of traffic lights?!) --not the store's fault, just caution in case you drive here. Accessible from both the front (where the parking is) or the back (on...

Brand new Edo Japan in Canmore. The interior of the restaurant is nicely done. I like the wall of Japanese candy.

The staff were very friendly and gave great service. I appreciate that even though we arrived 5 minutes before closing they allowed us to order and stay and eat our food. (I told them we could get it to go and eat outside, but they insisted that we could stay.)

I had the standard sukiyaki beef. Not much that can be said on the dish it is pretty hard to not cook it properly.

While I was able to find a parking spot immediately (@ 8:55pm), I suspect that if you arrive during normal lunch or dinner hours the parking will be much...

Quiet place, friendly personnel, and delicious food. Parking is tricky as it is always full and it is free the first 2 hours. Would be visiting in the future. The place is close to Trans Canada highway and it is perfect choice for quick bite without going to downtown Canmore. Things that can be improved - paper or porcelan plates would be a better choice for dine in. Plastic ones used by the restaurant looked dirty and pretty used up. Sop in the washrooms was pretty harsh, and there are better comercial grade options on the market.
