Hands down the worst establishment I have ever had the displeasure of eating and drinking in. If I could give it no stars I would because even one star is generous.
The servers and the bartenders will take 10+ minutes to bring you your menus or ask what you would like, the bartenders will take another 5+ minutes fetching your drink even if it's simply a pint and your standing directly next to the kegs, and then spend 10+ minutes on both getting your bill and taking your payment. I can't stress this enough, I am just one person, extrapolate for if you come with a large group.
They have a wing night every Wednesday where each week you never know if the wings will be the same, better, or more than likely worse than the previous week. On top of the terrible wing quality, last night they managed to "run out" of wings on the night where they're specifically selling wings.
I will never recommend anybody to eat...
Read moreMy favourite bar in Lake Louise. The salmon and butter chicken were good, but nothing to write home about. The food is relatively expensive for what you get. If you want a gourmet meal you might be better off at the Railway Station Restaurant or the Chateau. I'd recommend coming here for the beer, mixed drinks, and appetizers. They are open to families, but closed to under 18s around 8:30, after which groups with kids would be better off going for pizza upstairs (the same drinks menu is available upstairs if you ask).
The atmosphere is great for adult groups who want to get drinks together after a long day of skiing, but also have to get up to hit the hills early (they close at 11pm). Rusty runs a tight ship at explorers, and all the staff are excellent. Magee, Grace, Taylor, Olivia and Victor are all fun to hang out with and really make this a great place...
Read moreAlthough we were greeted right away and seated in a timely matter, the service was poor. The steak I ordered was over peppered, smothered unnecessarily in bbq sauce and wasn’t even served with a steak knife (I was stuck trying to saw through it with my butter knife). The mash potatoes were good, but the steamed vegetables were very undercooked and still crunchy. We were not asked how we were enjoying our food. The waitress only asked if we liked our drinks before even being served food and staff were just standing around the bar chatting. The fish and chips my spouse ordered was over battered, and when asked if he wanted gravy, the fact that it was $1.50 extra was not mentioned. I do not recommend this restaurant, even if you are staying at lake Louise inn. Over priced for...
