While we were travelling through we were recommended to stop at Cows by a local, and I can see why locals love it! Upon arriving the line was very long but it moved extremely quickly thanks to the amazing staff who handled each customer quickly but also was so patient and kind while everyone decided over flavours. The staff were so friendly, I really appreciated that! They also have a ton of cute and funny merch that you can browse while waiting in line so that makes it go by quickly. For such a busy place I was really impressed by how organized and clean everything was! They clearly take pride in that. The variety in flavours were amazing! There were a mix of cream based ice creams and water based fruity flavours. I got a scoop of the Cookie Monster (which has Oreo and cookie dough bits) and PEI strawberry (which was the fruity water based one - SO refreshing! It tasted just like a fresh strawberry). My partner got a blueberry maple one and really enjoyed it! Usually I am sure to take photos for my reviews but the ice cream was SO good I couldn’t be bothered to stop to take a photo! I did take a photo of a drink we picked up there, though. They offered a few interesting flavours of soda, we tried the raspberry cordial and it was AMAZING. It almost tastes like a Shirley temple but more fruity and refreshing. It’s a new favourite of mine & I will be sure to pick more up next time I...
Read moreI recently visited cows Banff with a fiancé at 8pm today , and unfortunately, it wasn't the experience we were hoping for. Although we arrived an hour before closing time, the staff seemed completely uninterested in assisting us. As soon as we walked in, the employees exchanged looks, almost as if we were an inconvenience for showing up so late. There was no greeting or acknowledgment, which made the whole atmosphere feel unwelcoming.
We were left to awkwardly stand at the counter as they continued their conversation, not offering any help or even a smile. It was clear that the staff were ready to wrap up for the day, and it was reflected in their lack of enthusiasm. While I understand that it's close to closing time, I’ve never encountered such an indifferent attitude from an ice cream shop before.
We wanted to try some ice cream as it seemed to be the same famous ice cream shop in whistler BC. It’s a shame, as I had heard good things about the place, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon if the staff’s attitude doesn’t improve. A little more energy and kindness would go a long way in making customers feel welcome, even at the...
Read moreI was there yesterday with my family. We saw the ice-cream scoops for sale in their store and inquired if we could open and check the quality before we buy and we got a straight 'no' for an answer. I wanted to walk the heck out of the store but my mom really liked the scoops and wanted to buy more than a dozen to gift her friends. When I told the girl the quantity I wanted to buy and that I won't buy it without checking the quality, she stated I can open it only if I were to buy it. I ended up buying them because my mom's heart was set on it. By the way, all this for a box which was not even seal packed or taped. The girl on the till was absolutely rude and unwelcoming. We felt really uncomfortable in the store. I hope it was not a racist incident but just a mannerless staff member. I hope the company takes such condescending behaviours seriously. Especially, if their business depends in tourists.
We went back later that day to buy more scoops and the other girl who attended us was friendly and welcoming. So, I understand that it's not their business culture. But, I still hold them accountable for their...
