I was here in June 2025 and was served by the older man with long white hair. Long story short, the guy either had a problem or was super high. I ordered a bowl of soup and a sandwich that was premade in the glass case. For some unknown reason, I watched as he kept skipping over my ticket and filling every other personâs order instead of mine. I was just politely standing there waiting, for so long that 2 other servers came over to check on me and then followed up with the guy. Both times he said he was about to fill my order, then inexplicably skipped it, over and over, and filled other peopleâs orders instead. I was standing there at least 15 minutes. It was bizarre!! Finally the supervisor noticed what was going on and got me and my son some food (not even what I had ordered!!! But at this point who cares - the rest of my party had already received their food and finished eating before mine even arrived). The food was nothing special and not at all worth the bizarre, frustrating service I received. Some advice for managers: if your staff is too high to know how to fill an order on the line, send them home...
   Read moreGelato is delicious! No notes. However, the other reviews about the staff customer service lacking is entirely correct. The guy at the counter was lovely but the girl scooping the gelato was quite miserable. I was unsure about the flavours and decided on two scoops of one flavour. As she began scooping the first one my mom said I should ask to try another flavour, which I said I wasnât sure if they do that here which the girl heard and said nothing. My mom then asked her if they do taste tests and she said yes, but didnât stop to ask if I wanted to try one or which Iâd like to try, she just kept scooping. I tried to get her attention to try a different flavour to possibly get a different flavour but she did not respond, just scooped two of the same flavour and gave the cup over and said nothing. Honestly it was very off putting. Management should probably do better on training in customer service because their product is fantastic. And no I didnât bother saying anything to the staff before posting because she made it very clear she had no interest in communicating or providing decent...
   Read morePretty disappointed, visiting for 8 days for the very first time. Everyone has been so friendly since we arrived and Iâm a huge coffee drinker. Had already tried 5 other coffee shops and all were lovely. The girl at the register of this place gave me a sarcastic attitude when I asked for a lavender latte (also totally okay that they donât have lavender not every single coffee shop does but a lot so) she replied âUm we have coffeeâ as if I am stupid for what I ordered instead of just informing me they donât have that. I proceeded to look at the espresso machine to my left and said you donât have espresso? (Because we have coffee sounds like we only have drip coffee) she said she had never even heard of that (which again is totally fine!) I laughed it off and didnât want to cause any issue with her sarcastic comment. I think she was either having a bad day or hates tourists. And then the coffee was super watery. I just definitely wonât be going back there, thereâs plenty of other coffee shops in Banff with great customer service, to both locals and tourists! Bummed...
