A very dirty experience from start to finish..
From the start, there were crumbs and grease on the table and seats. We stood next to the table to get a servers attention for it to be cleaned. A few servers walked by and looked at us but said nothing. Eventually, a server (that would be assigned to our table) came by and asked if we were ok. We let her know the issue and she sent someone to come wipe down the table.
The gentleman that came by to clean the table did not do a thorough job, despite us pointing out that there was more grease and crumbs on a corner of our table. We also pointed out the grease and crumbs on the seat, which he attempted to clean.. while completely missing the spot and the seat remained greasy. We ultimately had to clean the table and seats ourselves after he left. We also noticed the floors and menu were very dirty, but we did not bother to address that.
When my drink came out, there was lipstick on my mug, which smeared onto my finger.
I went to wash my hands after that, but the washroom did not have automatic doors, and the door handle inside was dirty... So I had to use my sleeve to open the door.
Two of our meals arrived with hair and lint in it. Our server asked if we would like a replacement for the meal with hair in it, but at this point, we just wanted to speak to the manager first.
The potatoes were definitely not fresh. They were dry, hard, and lukewarm.. almost seemed like they were day old and not warmed up enough.
We ordered water to drink.. and the cup arrived with sauce on it's side.
The manager sent the floor manager to speak to us. He did not come out himself. The floor manager was lovely and just beside herself at the news of our experience. She replaced the water and said our bill would be taken care of. We asked for a replacement for the meal with hair in it, which she said was no problem and that our server would come to take the order. When our server came to take the order, she said that the manager said the replacement meal would have to be charged for. We asked to speak with the floor manager again because it didn't make sense that we would have to pay for a replacement meal, which had initially come out with hair in it.
The floor manager came back out and cleared up that confusion and got us the replacement meal without any further issues. We were very grateful for her addressing our terrible experience.
Unfortunately, my son had completely lost his appetite by then, so we just asked them to pack up the meal to go. We've never been in such a hurry to get out of a restaurant before.
This was truly a scary and really gross experience... We'll stick to our usual breakfast place next time..

Read moreThe food and service is horrible. I went in a group of 4 during the weekend (we went early in the day so it wasn't busy). For starters, the table was dirty... even the seats were dirty. I went back to the front desk and they had someone clean both but they did a spot cleaning so when I moved the condiments it was still dirty. The server came to take our orders and brought our food out promptly. I ordered premium pancakes and my eggs were cold, the bacon was overcooked and tiny, the shredded hash browns were also cold and watery. Everything tasted like it was microwaved. I read some other reviews saying the food portion has decreased and you can definitely see it.
This is where I got disappointed with the service - other than taking our orders, our server barely came back to our table. I ordered a coffee and my server did not come back around to ask if I wanted a refill. I thought she could be busy with other tables. When we finished our meals, it took over 45 mins for her to clear it plus she only cleared some of our plates. Again I thought maybe she could be busy with other guests. When she finally came back to get the rest of our plates we asked for the bill. Again, she was gone for another half hour. We saw another server and asked her to call ours and again we waited. We got up to go to the hostess and asked for our bills. I will say at this point they were starting to get busy and our server said that they were working off one computer which I don't understand how they only have one working. Also the table next to us was a large group (about 7 people) and were seated after us and left before us. Maybe it's because they had a different server but we were all not impressed with...
Read moreWent to this location this morning for the "Birthday Grand Slam" (FREE), and I was told I needed a group of 3 minimum. Unfortunately, I was dining alone. Oddly specific and such a cash grab. It's also a made-up policy, Denny's website has the requirements and restrictions listed for the birthday grand slam.
Aside from this wayward update, my order was wrong and incomplete, I was under the impression that bacon and sausage were 2 pieces each, and I only received 1 of each. I also chose for the eggs to be fried well-done, and it was fried over-easy. Worst of all, my coffee was served with lipstick stains. I can understand things getting messy when places are busy. But I was the only person dining in at this time. I'm under the impression that servers don't do quality assurance here before things reach the tables.
During the meal, I was not attended to or asked, "How's your meal?" This never happened before, so I'm guessing this location just likes to operate like their own business.
After paying, I brought this up to my server. She was very understanding and very apologetic. She was also willing to compensate for these mistakes, which I greatly appreciate. But I made the decision not to return to this location as the communication seemed incomprehensible.
I also looked up what I ordered, and it doesn't seem to be a listed feature. It just seems to be some quick fix to get people in the door, unsurprising as I was the only person dining in.
I recommend avoiding this place, especially on your birthday. Seems like everyone else is with the place...
