First time visiting this location, normally I go to the Major Mackenzie location, but decided to check this location out since it's a bit closer to home.
First of all there was no greeting upon entering, the other location and in every U.S location I've visited they always say "Welcome to Firehouse Subs", I guess this isn't required or they don't bother at this location or too difficult for the staff. No big deal, that isn't a game changer, just surprised.
This visit included my parents and two kids for lunch. The cashier was not friendly and was in a rush to place our order, she didn't even give my parents a chance to look at the menu, kept asking if that was all for the order. The attention to customers lacks, I had asked for whole wheat bread, I received white, my father was so rushed he just ordered a Ham sub because the cashier was persistent on getting me checked out, with only 3 people waiting in line. This was disappointing and it was extremely difficult understanding her and what she was saying.
The food was excellent as always, subs were hot and delicious, fresh and put together as expected. One of the best sub shops in my opinion. After getting our food, I went to ask for hot sauce and the person behind the counter said they don't have any hot sauce and I said "Nothing at all", the staff member reluctantly went to a box and gave me one messily packet, I asked for one more and I was given a dirty look as in how dare I ask for more.. come on Firehouse don't be cheap, it's a packet of hit sauce, after spending over $55 on food, I'd think asking for some hot sauce shouldn't be a big deal. This was disappointing and shouldn't have been an issue at all, it's HOT SAUCE!!!.
Not sure if I'll come back to this location again, the staff needs better people skills and better customer service. It's a shame that nowadays it seems customer service has gone down the tubes, at least at this location.
Giving this location a 3 stars due to poor customer service and staff being unfriendly and not giving me a hard time...
Read moreAsked to have their hot sauce on the side which usually comes in packets so there’s no cross contamination, the woman working there said no, you can self serve from the one provided to pack and go. There’s an unhygienic component to that and I don’t like it even though I know they had packets.
The bottle of the hot sauce was cracked and spilt all over me when I tried to pour it. My coat now requires dry cleaning and it squirted all over my suede shoes too which is impossible to take out without damaging them. Totally ruined the whole experience of getting firehouse. Spending $43 to be rejected on a hot sauce package is crazy to me and also not inclusive to Firehouse customer service. Been coming to this location whenever I possibly can to support them as I’m between two locations most of the time. I have been a loyal customer to firehouse but this left such a bad taste as I ruined my clothing and shoes for her to be stingy on giving me a packet. I’ve tried cleaning my coat but the stains aren’t coming out. Will not be visiting this location with my family or even friends - which I will share this story...
Read moreGot myself a haircut a few stores down, and was REALLY looking forward to a nice meal from here... Unfortunately, I needed to use the washroom first, also to wash my hands properly before eating.
Both washrooms were occupied, while waiting I could hear the toilets constantly being flushed... After waiting 15 minutes an employee came to knock on the doors, there was no response.
Apparently this location has a problem with homeless people coming in and taking over their washrooms. I ended up leaving and going to McDonald's down the road.
The only positive thing, the Restaurant smells amazing! I really...
