First time at Tandoori King at this Maritime location. Placed my take-out order at 5pm & told them I would be there at 6:30. My order was ready by 6:35pm. Brought the food home only to find out there was an error in the order. Rec'd Veggie Biriyani instead of Chicken Biriyani Called and the restaurant fixed it immediately... Now for the taste. The Naans were cooked to perfection. If a restaurant can take the time to thinly roll out their Naans and still have them so soft, their definitely doing something right. As for the dishes. The Shahi Paneer was excellent. The gravy was nice and thick with really good spices and a hint of sweetness. The Chicken Tikka Masala also had good spices and wasn't spicey hot!!. Same with the gravy of the Goat Curry. The Chicken Biriyani, with its large chunks of chicken breast meat, was a bit spicey but manageable. Do I recommend this Indian restaurant: YES. Will I go back, definitely. I hope they offer catering, which I forgot to ask.

UPDATE OCT 31, 2024:

Craving good Indian food and odered from no other than King Tandoori, their Maritime Location in Brampton. All i can say is EXCELLENT!!!! I love knowing that i can take their menu, tape it on a wall and throw a dart at it. Whatever food item the dart lands on, i know its going to be great!!! I think I can proudly say that this restaurant is consistant with its quality and taste!!! As a consumer, that is all i can ask for!!! This order was Madras Chicken (excellent flavour), Keema Lamb (doing this one again!!), Goat Curry (comfort food), Dhal Makhani (just a little too spicy this time) and Paneer Bhurji (our new favourite veggie dish) with Buttered Naan. See...

I went there on Thursday night around 10 pm with a few friends. I ordered masala tea and it was tasteless... There was no masala no ginger or anything which can call it masala tea. Other than that we had a mocktail the staff told us it is great but when I order it it was undrinkable there was so much salt or something which makes it hard to drink we asked to change it but they said they can't so we told them to take it back which we were charged for even though we Didn't think it. When we got our main course we had panner veg sabji they told us it was spicy but it was sweet as hell. When we told them about it the chef just reheated the same half sabji and tried to make it spicy..how can the chef just give the same food again like that... Then we told the staff about it too and then the chef made new food but it was like he was taking out his anger I didn't have a pic to attach to show what he made there was more than 10 green chilli.. I have tried food at hundreds of places but I never saw the chef putting 10 chillies to make it spicy...

I am giving 2 stars because of the people who were serving us "Navjot" and "Varsa". They service was really nice and friendly.. if food was good I would have given 5 star.

You can also the naan they have us when we order for takeout.

I am really disappointed with the chef for the way he treated our food and tried to show anger our total was 170+ .. I think if we are paying that much we can accept some decent food. Really really the worst...

They don't take booking of tables. I walked in and we were lucky to have got a good seat though. It was very busy and no one seemed to care to take an order for first 5-6mins. We hailed on to someone who just took an order without noting down anything. looking at the rush we specifically told her that we want all food together and mostly only ordered main course. We waited patiently for about 20 mins and someone just came and asked us - "are you ready to order" ? it was like our patience gave up. Then they quickly corrected themselves and said it is just being prepared to be served and in minutes. It took them good 15 mins more from then. Food however was okay. I mean serving was very less like mushroom appetizer just had four button mushrooms (exactly 4). Chicken was not not well done either. The butter chicken gravy however was really good. kadhai Paneer was just average - I have had better in takeaways. I would say it is cheaper than some of the others with avg food taste so possibly this is why there was so much rush. I normally go to tikka junction but food there is just about 1.5 times the price however I don't have anything else to...

Noticed this newly opened restaurant in the plaza and decided to give them a shot with my buddies. What impressed me was the quality of the Paneer Lababdar, Malai soya chaap, chutneys and their reasonable prices for the slightly premium ambience. The large paneer lababdar came with generous portions of paneer that were charred perfectly to be soaked into the mellow spiced gravy. The Malai soya chaap was not too creamy to my liking but smoked exceptionally to crisp at the edges to elevate our palates at the start of the meal as a solid appetizer. We were served by Avijeet, a courteous and informative staff who was very helpful in recommending us what dishes and cocktails/mocktails for us to try. We trusted his recommendations and he definitely did not let us down. I have been to the King Tandoori branch at Malton which operates 24hours but I personally feel that this Brampton branch at Airport/Queen do their dishes a slight notch better. We will definitely be back to savour their other dishes, especially the ones on the hot plate to accompany with the flavourful chutneys that they serve here.
