I’m a huge supporter of Odd Burger and have been going to their Vancouver location since they opened. As a proud vegan, I’ve always felt confident bringing others along and recommending it. So when I was in Brampton with my family, I was genuinely excited to take them there — I spoke so highly of it and was looking forward to sharing a great vegan meal with them.
Unfortunately, the experience was a complete letdown.
We started calling the Brampton location at 8:15 PM to place an order, but no one picked up. We arrived at 8:45 PM and were surprised to find the doors locked. A staff member eventually came out and said she didn’t hear the phone ringing — which felt more like an excuse than an honest reason. She did let us in and agreed to take our order, but it was rushed, and the quality was far below what I’ve come to expect from Odd Burger.
Our order was incorrect and incomplete. We were missing onion rings, and the ones we did get were over-fried and barely edible. The tacos I ordered were cold and undercooked, with hard cheese & center and no warmth whatsoever — as if they were taken out of the fridge and served directly.
What was most upsetting was seeing my family so disappointed. I had built this up as a reliable, delicious vegan option — and instead, it turned into a frustrating and embarrassing experience. I truly expected better.
I’d really appreciate a refund for the meal, and more importantly, I hope this situation is addressed by management so other vegan customers don’t walk away feeling just as disappointed, especially when introducing others to what should be a great...
Read moreOdd Burger is a vegan fast-food chain that offers a variety of plant-based burgers, fries, shakes and desserts. The burgers are made with soy protein, oat fiber, coconut oil and beetroot juice, and they have a realistic texture and flavor that can satisfy even the most carnivorous cravings. The fries are crispy and seasoned with sea salt, and the shakes are creamy and rich, made with oat milk and natural flavors. The desserts include brownies, cookies, muffins and ice cream, all vegan and gluten-free.
I visited Odd Burger for the first time last week, and I was impressed by the quality and taste of the food. The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and cozy. I ordered the classic burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and ketchup, along with a side of fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was juicy and tender, and the cheese melted perfectly on top. The fries were hot and crunchy, and the shake was thick and decadent. I also tried a bite of the brownie, which was moist and fudgy. I was full and satisfied after my meal, and I felt good knowing that I was eating something healthy and cruelty-free.
Odd Burger is the best vegan fast-food option in town, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves burgers but wants to avoid animal products. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Odd Burger is not only good for vegans, but for everyone who wants to enjoy a satisfying meal without compromising on...
Read moreDecided to finally try the food at Odd Burger for lunch with my wife. I was always curious about the place ever since they opened and the vegetarian versions of burgers and chicken sandwiches looked enticing from their website. Finally it also helped that they received great reviews at this Brampton location.
My wife ordered the Preposterous burger and I order Chickun Nuggets Combo (coated in the Korean sauce) and onion rings.
The service was friendly and timely with our order. My wife's burger looked like the quintessential smash burger and it smelled like a diner burger. The nuggets looked and smelled amazing and the onion rings were awesome, being completely coated and very crispy.
The burger was very tasty but its meat texture was more on par with the meat found in gyros and donairs. The bun and toppings were standard but fresh.
The nuggets were full of flavour and had a unique texture to them. It was not the typical chicken flaky pull-apart texture found with standard chicken fingers. It is more like a moist dense tofu-like texture. The breaded coating stayed crispy. However I was not a fan of the sauce I selected. It was OK.
Lastly, the onion rings were amazing. The coating used was ultra crispy and did not break apart from the onion when taking a bite.
All in all, I would highly recommend trying Odd Burger. Go with the expectation of getting friendly service and fresh vegan fast food but leave your notions of ordinary burger joint...
