This is probably the top 5 best pizza joints in 604 and it having stayed open for 57 years and counting is a testament to the fact that it must be doing something right!

Having stayed in 604 all my life and tried pizzas from NYC, Chicago, LA and Toronto - Me n' Ed has something special going for itself. I drove by today and thought I've never tried this place for all the years I've been here in 604! Let's give it a try.

The value one pays is also very good - they use quality ingredients, fresh and tons of it. The crust base is mastery - just the right thickness and does not get soggy or floppy - a slight mild grainy texture that gives it that just right chew and bite.

In terms of pizza culture in 604, we can break it down into 3 categories - gourmet, fast food style and old school.

Me n' Ed is a mixture of old school and gourmet but its prices are only just slightly higher than the fast food places and yet you get way more value here. It also doesn't skimp on portions like the gourmet places who charge $30 for a small, thin pie with small amouonts of toppings - only fit for someone on a diet. It isnt fast food types like the many walk in no seat parlours or fast food brands. You can taste it first and foremost in the kind of tomato sauce they use - which I opted to test by going for the classic - Margherita. Delicious.

Why choose a Margherita? It has minimal types of ingredients (Tomato sauce, cheese, basil and olive oil) so despite it's 'simplicity' it is very difficult to make a good Margherita because there is literally nowhere to hide and each ingredient must speak for itself through the mastery of the maker and usually if a pizza place can make a good Margherita, they can do good with many other items.

One important thing to note is, this place does not make its pizza's overly salty and instead let's the natural umami from the ingredients speak for itself - and only good quality ingredients can do that. When a place over seasons, it usually is a way to mask poor quality or overdue ingredients.

This place will change people's attitudes and perspective to the foundations of what...

I was absolutely STARVING but too lazy to cook...Shocker I know. It was 10:23 pm when, naturally, I Googled 'Late night delivery in Burnaby'. The usual places popped up that were not of any interest to me and then I saw it...Me n' Ed's Pizza! As I browsed through some photos of customer's orders, wiping the saliva from my screen I realized ZOIKS! They close in 25 minutes!

Although I had pretty much much decided on a 1/2 Perogi and 1/2 Caesar Pizza (a Lady Never reveals her size), I thought I should probably give the Take out menu a quick once over just for good measure. It created a tad more difficulty in deciding my Yin and Yang ☯ Pizza extravaganza...but I had already made up my mind at first glance.

I finally made the call at 10:30 pm and was greeted over the phone by a lovely gentleman who informed me it would be No problem to deliver before they close. In all fairness, I am at most, a 5 minute drive away, but most places will cut you off 1 hour prior to closing, That's it, That's all! Needless to say, my salivary glands and I were extremely pleased to hear this.

The driver came at 10:57 pm. The pizza was Incredible! Literally the BEST pizza I have Ever had and it was Take Out! I can't even Fathom what it would do to my Taste buds if I were to actually eat in the Restaurant proper! The crust was light and flakey, reminiscent of homemade pastry dough; folded over and over so it's layered just right to have that light and flakey crispiness on the exposed and bottom layers and perfectly, melt-in-your-mouth soft and buttery on the inner layers! Like I said...THIS was delivery for cryin' out loud! It's Nuts! Crazy Good! Absolutely Fair price as with other Pizza chains...you get what you pay for (ie. If you pay $10 for a pizza, you will get a pizza worth $10)!

Needless to say...I STRONGLY recommend Anyone and Everyone to either Go to Me n' Ed's (7110 Hall Street at Kingsway across from Highgate Village) or at least, if you're lazy like me...try ordering in. You will not be...

Hi pizza-goer!

I think this place is actually great for a date night! If you have never been here, I highly recommend you to try it! Why four stars, not five? Delve in, dear reader, and get ready to sink your teeth into something fun.

I really appreciate the atmosphere! The great fire-pit in the centre is gorgeous and, with an assortment of seating styles to suit your party; High-seat stools at a tall table, cushioned booths, and long tables for large groups, there is a place for everyone.

Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. My questions were answered promptly when I did have one. We had no issue in our order but one issue in servitude: I asked for a "Half-glass of water" but my server returned with a glass full of water. It was quite loud in the restaurant so I wondered if perhaps she didn't hear me.

Now to the food! The choices offered are AMAZING! There is a flavour here for everyone. My favourite is the 'Smoked Salmon and Roasted Garlic' which is reminiscent of a Greece in summer with its fresh sprigs of dill and a burst of lemon. The pie sizes are perfect (I think). If you want to eat the same pizza with your friend, then get a medium and share. If you want two different pizzas, get smalls for yourselves! The small pizza is a perfect individual size.

My recommendation: I believe you should come here at a time that is not so busy, if there ever were a time! Perhaps late afternoon between 15:00 and 16:00. It seems that, at the end of the day, the pizza makers become impatient and tend to throw ingredients haphazardly upon the canvas of dough.

Thanks...

Me-n-Ed's Burnaby has never disappointed, we dined in last night and the food was amazing. Establishment was clean, not too busy. Place is large and there is plenty of room for patrons to be spaced out due to COVID. Vibe - Nothing short of the "classic" Pizzaria vibe, brought back some memories from dining here as a kid PIZZA - Took very little time to receive the pizzas, they tasted phenomenal...piping hot, fresh ingredients...no soggy dough. Service - No complaints, from the time we walked in, to the time we walked out the door...staff was pleasant and seemed to enjoy their place of employment. Bathroom (men's) - some tlc needed. One sink was not working, paper towel dispenser appeared to be broken as it was hanging open. However, this did not impact our overall experience with the staff/restaurant. Parking - Ample of parking Will be back!

It has been on our list for awhile. It took us a bit but was worth it. We went on a Thursday night around 730pm. When you walk in the staff is friendly and we were told sit where ever we wanted. The place was maybe half full. The decor is sportsbar meets small town Whitehorse. It's dated but clean, with some great sports memorabilia on the walls and some old school signage. They have daily food specials. My girlfriend and I ordered the Thursday pizza special. $30 for a large from a fixed set. They let us do half a godfather pizza and half a Tuscan scicillian. Both were excellent with the scicillian nudging ahead. He had the beer and wine special as well. House red and a pilsner. The pizza is fresh, thin crust, with fresh excellent ingredients. The portions are good as well. We had 2 pieces l3fr over. We would go back again and again.
