Deville Coffee — Restaurant in Calgary

Me: Standing front of the display of treats and reading the menu Woman at counter - Are you looking for food? Me: (still and obviously reading menu in front of my face) Yes Her: Begins to point out the food that is right infront of me and the menu that I'm still reading .. Me: Yes, I've been here before .. Her: a little affronted or maybe surprised? .."oh"

Feel a little bad, but more polite than asking her if she thinks I'm blind. ... I understand her goal was to provide good service .. but maybe treating customers like they are dim isn't the best way to do that. Smaller tip than normal today.

Would like more variety of hot food .. but one of The Best veggie breakfast wraps in the city, maybe even the province,possibly the country and maybe pit it against...

Today, April 29, 2024, my daughter and I met in this cafe. My office is nearby, and I have been here many times but felt terrible today. In front of us, the manager of this place stood up in her dirty shoes on the counter table where they usually serve the food - she was walking on it to change the information on the board. I am not squeamish, but it was unpleasant - I was close to throwing up my food. I remarked that, but it was ignored. I regret that I did not take the video when she walked with shoes on the food desk ( maybe she came right away after the washroom in these shoes) I won't come to this place anymore - Deville Coffee is not a pure, dirty place - you should follow the style of the Name - "Deville Coffee," and, of course, the...

I usually really enjoy this location- today was slightly off putting. Preparing to pay for my latte, I was told I couldn’t use cash. There wasn’t any reason for not being able to use this method of payment- she just didn’t want to take the actual cash it seems which is very odd- I would have expected an explanation at least or a sign indicating that other methods of payment were needed and cash was not accepted. When asked why they weren’t accepting cash, it was just a “because”. Her coworker seemed confused as well and didn’t understand why her coworker wouldn’t accept the cash ahah Alas, I will have to try other locations...
