Walked by this place hundreds of times going to dragon city mall. Finally had to check out the illusive second floor restaurant that's tucked in the corner. I'm so glad I did, at first I I really expected it to be similar to other seafood restaurants. Was I ever wrong, and I'm glad I’m wrong. It’s a Japanese spin on western seafood dishes. My group and I started with an order of the spicy calamari, the batter was the right balance, the hot sauce packed just the right amount of heat, after that our order of mussels arrived, the mussels were alright I would say my least favorite of the dishes ordered but not bad by any stretch, next out came my order of prawns in scallops, the scallops and prawns tasted fresh not frozen which can be hard to come by in Calgary, the sauce was incredible very creamy with a touch of heat I finished every drop and the bread that came with it was a perfect side. My partner ordered the chicken Katsu don… honestly it might be my new favorite this side of the pacific, the cutlet was incredibly tender with the perfect batter, the sauce complimented the chicken very nicely. This really is my new favorite hidden gem, I will for sure...

My boyfriend and I got the mixed Tonkatsu and spicy cream Tonkatsu with the calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was somewhat underwhelming. It tasted okay but it was a tad on the chewy side. Maybe if they gave you more than 6 pieces, it would have been okay but $10 for that? Seemed a bit of a let down.

My mixed katsu was on the dry side, unfortunately. The prawns were the only fried meat that was pretty good. The original sauce they had was a little too sweet for me so I winded up stealing the cream sauce from my boyfriend. The pork cream sauce katsu he got was pretty good. The sauce was better than I anticipated and you couldn't really detect any dryness as it was smothered in it. The ending green tea with the chocolate and lychee candy was really what sealed 4 star deal- I would give a 4.5 if I could. It was an unexpected but welcome surprise to the otherwise heavy...

A MUST GO! My family took our Dad out for pre Father's Day dinner for the first time here. We were looking for dine in seafood as per my Father's request, and this was the only one with the best reviews during this covid time. It was the best service, very quick with serving us the food, super patient while we asked questions, and SUCH TASTY food!!! Best calamari in Calgary HANDS down. You got to get the seafood garlic wine sauce plate (use the bread they give you to soak up the sauce...oh man). Wish we took pictures but we ate all the food so fast. We will be going again very soon as we couldn't stop talking about the food during the meal and after. We felt like we were at an authentic place with such lovely and authentic food. Thank you guys for all that you do, we...

The service was very good, staff was super friendly! The entire place felt very home-y and comfy. The jazz music in the background sets a very nice atmosphere for people in dine in. The food arrived quickly and it was very delicious. The rice was sushi rice and I felt like I was taken back to Japan. Would definitely visit again!
