Lucky Place Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

IF YOU'RE A FIRST TIME DINER, DO NOT EAT HERE. If you don't know the language, it isn't even worth coming here. They don't want your money, especially if you have a small party of less than three. Their food is okay, but their service ruined not just my appetite but my health and mood for a big event later in the evening. It would be your personal mistake to come here, they really don't care about you. My partner and I waited for 45 minutes for our order to be taken, and then over an hour for it to come. I made sure to order very simple dishes like fried rice and noodles, and we were the only people at the restaurant when we were seated. Mind you, even before our order was taken, they sat down multiple groups and the restaurant became full, and they would start bringing dishes to those customers. Once our order was finally placed, they only went back to serving everyone else in the restaurant and some even finished and left their meals. It was such a baffling experience and me being a diabetic needed my food at a specific time. After waiting 2 hours, my partner and I decided to leave and got dressed to go, but then they yelled at us to stay because our food was going to come soon. They managed to bring everything out shortly after, but at this point neither did i have an appetite, nor was my health okay. It was the worst dining experience of my life, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through something similar. Our biggest mistake was not leaving earlier, and don't even get me started on the forced tips on our bill at the end...

I've given this restaurant a couple tries now and have decided to give them a low rating. This restaurant has been consistency bad at making dishes. Upon my first experience I remember ordering the fried chicken which is a fairly simple dish to make. When the fried chicken came out it was over cooked (no meat left on the chicken). I bit into what I thought was chicken and turned out to be jerky. After I spoke to the server they acknowledged their mistake and gave me a refund which was nice and respectable. The second time today I decided to maybe give the dish another try and hoped the restaurant learned from their mistakes but I guess the restaurant ran out of fried chicken? Ok, so I ordered a hot pot assorted seafood instead. When the assorted seafood came out it looked like a sea of misery. The taste, quality and presentation was poor. Prices here are higher, and the cooks have very bad timing on food (be prepared to wait 20 mins in between dishes). I would not recommend this experience to anyone. Placed our CNY order with this restaurant based on recommendations from family friends saying the food is good. We already had a bad feeling when we ordered over the phone as the lady taking the order seemed preoccupied and didn't seem to care when we were speaking with her on the phone. We showed up to pick up our order today and it was just chaos in the restaurant. Servers and cooks running around clearing dirty dishes from one table, serving food to another, another table had to go to the front to grab their own menus as they were tired of waiting for service. We were told to take a seat and wait as they were busy. After almost 30 mins of waiting, we decided to leave as they did not want our business and clearly did not have our food ready to go or maybe even forgot about our order?
