Second Cup Cafe- Inside Central Library — Restaurant in Calgary

I was deeply dissatisfied with my recent order from your franchise. Our order took 2 and a half hours to arrive, and after the first 45 mins, I tried calling the store multiple times to get an update as to where our order was. After the 5th or 6th attempt, I finally heard back from the store saying that they don’t accept delivery requests online (the Second Cup website), and I had to use Door Dash or Skip. This is fine, but the website shouldn’t have allowed me to choose a location that does not participate in said delivery. I asked about how I could go about getting a refund, and I was told to contact the Second Cup head office directly. I phoned twice, and never got through.

To my surprise, after 2.5 hours, I got a text saying that our order was on its way. Once it showed up, the drinks were terribly underwhelming. One latte tasted extremely burnt/bitter, and another was super sweet (asked for half sweet). The one that was super sweet was supposed to be completely plant based as I have a dairy allergy as stated in the order, however, I had an allergic reaction to the beverage.

I am not one to complain as I spent several years working as a barista in the past, but this service was appalling. Not to mention, we paid $30 for 3 poorly made drinks. I will not be ordering from Second Cup...

Any business that charges money to use the washroom has permanently lost my families business. Second cup denies people their basic rights for the sake of profit. Go to one of the hundreds of locally run coffee shops in the area you get better bang for your buck and you support a local business, not a conglomerate.

The employee in the picture does not wear a name tag, refused to identify herself and denied me access to the washroom.
