Estrella's Montreal Deli: A Taste of Culinary Excellence
As my companion and I stepped through the doors of Estrella's Montreal Deli, the alluring aroma of smoked meat and freshly baked bread instantly piqued our senses. This beloved local gem, tucked away in the heart of the city, had been highly recommended, and now we were about to discover why. The moment our server greeted us with a warm smile, we knew we were in for a dining experience that would transcend the ordinary. When our sandwiches arrived, we were captivated by the towering piles of tender, flavour-infused smoked meat, lovingly crafted in-house using time-honoured recipes. The meat's smoky notes were perfectly balanced by the tangy kick of the homemade mustard, and the satisfying crunch of the pickles, oh, the pickles will make you question the expression on your face “unrecognizable.” But the culinary delight did not end there. The rye bread, baked fresh daily, provided the perfect canvas, its chewy texture and subtle caraway undertones complementing the fillings impeccably. And the fries - oh, the fries! Perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy within, they had been seasoned to perfection, elevating the humble potato to new heights of deliciousness. As we savoured every bite, it became clear why Estrella's had garnered a dedicated following among locals and visitors alike. The commitment to quality, the attention to detail, and the genuine passion of the staff all contributed to an unforgettable dining experience. By the time we had finished our meal, we knew one thing for certain: we would be returning to Estrella's Montreal Deli time and time again, eager to indulge in the culinary magic that this beloved establishment had to offer. In this unassuming deli, we discovered a true gem, a place where the art of crafting exceptional food was elevated to an absolute delight for the senses. We have been going there for about ten years now and have never had a...

Food 10/10 Ambiance 9/10 Location 7/10 - A bit tricky to get too without a vehicle.
We saw Eatrella's online looking for a Deli in the Langley area, and between the pictures and reviews we couldn't imagine such an amazing place sitting in the middle of a near-industrial district. We had to check it out.
We were going to talk about the food and the meats and decide if the journey is worth it, but we spent the whole lunch just talking about how we are going to come back whenever we are in the area!
I ordered the Montreal with Dijon Mustard. The mustard was nice and spicy and complemented the mountain of delicious layered meat. It didn't have very much to say, it was a simple sandwich by all accounts, but it knew exactly what it was and hit every mark. 5/5
My boyfriend got the Italian sandwich, it's toasted crispy bun was a perfect opposite to the Montreal. The balsamic soaked nicely into the bread without making it soggy, and the salami and deli meats were great companions. If the Montreal was a simple and loud sandwich, the Italian was deep and flavorful and a little quiet about it. 5/5
We also ordered a poutine. It was amazing! Super flavorful gravy without being too salty. The fries reminded me of the fries you would get at a little fish and chips place. We devoured it in moments. 5/5
If the person behind the counter says "And that's with a pickle on the side, right?" You absolutely must say yes....
Read moreEstrella’s was on my radar after seeing on FB. Hubby and I arrived on a Wednesday before the lunch rush and got an on-site parking spot no problem but after 11:30 it got quite a bit busier and parking was challenging.
They did a brisk lunch crowd: eat-ins and take-out service but orders were filled quite quickly. I can only imagine how busy weekends are here.
We ordered at the counter 2 of The Montreal (L) sandwiches $19.95, asking for 2 take-out boxes to bring home 1/2 each. Hubby ordered his toasted with reg. mustard and mine steamed. The bread was warm, soft and perfect with the smoked meat…they offer you lean, medium or fatty. We ordered medium which was 👌🏼-ly moist. I couldn’t resist ordering the Poutine (reg) $8.95. The gravy was rich, not salty with curds on perfectly cooked fries. Everything was delicious and satisfying met all our expectations 💯% !!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
This won’t be our last visit by any means, highly recommend if you love smoked meat!
Cash, debit and credit accepted. Some parking on site but not a lot. Some stalls designated for other businesses. Located on a busy thoroughfare, not sure about the side street parking situation.
After a short wait they...
