Ok, so been living in Langley 15yrs, and this place is literally a hop skip away from my place. Never been. Took the fam out for some fun and needed lunch so gave this a try for the first time. Thought this was more of a rib and bbq place so hadn't given it a shot prior. I am so glad we did. The moment we walked in staff were soo friendly. The space looks absolutley amazing, totally my vibe. We sat and were greeted by Martina and her trainee Cassandra. I kid you not, they were so amazing, helpful and so kind to the kids (even let my kid ring the car horn) The kids had tenders and fries along with some cool cotton candy drinks and were given a desert. We had the Fajitas and a Chicken Bowl (there was so much more on Menu than just ribs). I've been missing out all this time. This will now be our go to place in Langley moving forward. Staff are not pretentious, don't wear headsets and black dresses looking like they should be on street corner or hitting up a club downtown, like the neighboring c-club and other places. They are in jeans, t-shirt, and give you nothing but pure Southern Style hospitality. Just great people. The Assistant GM Meghan came out for a chat as I had some questions about holding an event there in the future. She too, hospitable, kind and service with a smile. I kid you not, food, ambience and most of all the service will have us going back. Martina thx for taking my daughter to ring the horn, for the hot sauce recommendation and for thinking of the kids; Casandra thx for your service and making me laugh, and Meghan for being such a great GM. You guys all rocked, you have gained new customers and you all deserve a raise. Keep up the great work. There are still places like this around, who new. Also forgot to mention....their hot sauce is bomb and the prices here are very good also....
Read moreWhen my father, two sons, and I were deciding where to go for dinner, we decided on Montana's, as my father and older son wanted the All You Can Eat Ribs. My younger son was very sad, because he wanted the Cheese Fondue Burger from a different restaurant chain.
As a group of four, arriving at dinnertime, we were expecting a short wait for a table, and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately.
While we were placing our drink order, our waitress, Cherries, noted the visible tears in my younger son's eyes, and inquired why he was sad. I explained his desire for the Cheese Fondue Burger, and that he was sad that he would not be able to order one. Cherries told me that she would see what she could do. It was such a wonderful surprise when Cherries told us that the kitchen staff was going to try to create something similar for my son. The genuine love and caring about their customer's happiness was overwhelming. I cannot recall a previous time, at any restaurant, where the staff went so far out of their way to ensure that their customer was being cared for. After the meal, the restaurant manager, Megan, came to find out how well their version of the Cheese Fondue Sauce was received. She had used Google to try and learn how it was made, to see what they could do to replicate it for my son. Their version was so good that my son was trying to lick the bowl clean.
Throughout the meal, the staff was very attentive to our table. Refills of drinks, and the All You Can Eat Ribs and Fries were being offered as soon as staff observed that any given item was more than approximately 3/4 consumed, which was perfect.
I really just want to give an extra special thank you to Cherries, for going so far above and beyond in making my son feel noticed and cared for. She and Megan truly made our dining experience...
Read moreWe visited Montana’s to celebrate my birthday with my husband and kids. Our server Amil was friendly and doing both hosting and serving alone, though it understandably led to a few hiccups. There was a mix-up with our starter—he only brought nachos when I had ordered chicken strips and fries too—but he corrected it quickly. Unfortunately by then we’d already finished the nachos and my kids (who don’t like them) had nothing to eat while we waited.
The nachos were good but needed more salsa. Chicken strips were delicious, fries were overly seasoned. Mains were a mixed bag—my pulled pork sandwich was tasty, my husband’s wrap was okay, and the kids’ meals (pizza and Alfredo) were disappointing in both quality and portion. I also never got to order a drink because of the earlier confusion.
As closing time neared, we felt rushed by our server. I understand the restaurant was closing soon, and I work in the industry too, but it felt uncomfortable and rushed. At my workplace, we never push guests out like that. My son hadn’t even started his pizza when Amil brought the birthday dessert. He also promptly dropped off two ice cream sandwiches at our table, but one child preferred to order the cookie, and we had to wait to ask for it. No one offered us any additional dessert options, coffee, or anything, just the bill and takeout boxes while we were still eating. I also noticed a female staff member bussing tables in an uncomfortably short jean skirt—not ideal for a professional setting.
Lastly, Amil gave me a birthday coupon for a free appetizer but said that I needed to write a review saying “Amil made our night”. That left a bad taste. A suggestion to leave an honest review would’ve felt much...
