I'm all about fresh fire cooked pizza! However after my recent experience here I'm not too sure how I feel about Fire Crust Langley. Last year I visited here and got an amazing meal with my friend we had two pizzas that were perfectly cooked and had a killer milk shake dessert! I have nothing to say about the shakes but they are simply amazing!
My same friend and I came back yesterday. I ordered the same pizza with a slight modification and she had ordered a gf margarita pizza. First off the dough was just about as tough and dry as you can get. There was flour just coated all over it and my hands and the plate. The dough was way too thin in the middle and had a thick tough crust that was almost inedible. Maybe the dough was old and they use high gluten flour but it doesn't get broken down by yeast so it simply just toughens up...? So because of the extremely thin crust the person who made my pizza put almost no sauce and just about no cheese. Also forgot to add avocado Wich came with the pizza. The salad ontop was only half the ingredients and spread out all over making it just look like they were trying to hide the lack of toppings... The was barley any chicken and bacon which were the main toppings. Then as for my friends pizza. The Margarita was plain watery raw-like tomato puree! No seasonings or anything just like opening a can of crushed tomatoes and throwing it on. It had maybe 4 small pieces of cheese and 4 leaves of basil. Wich I believe is supposed to be fresh and not baked onto the pizza. Then the GF crust was; just terrible! She should have taken it back but she forced it down anyways.... For 17$ with an extra 3-5$ for GF? That is No Bueno!! Just Gross! That Margarita pizza, if that's how it is usually made there,,,, Seriously Needs to have it's game stepped up!!!
Not to mention all the pizzas that came out had burnt edges. Mine looked the least burnt but the oven temp could be lower. I wouldn't mind waiting an extra 5-10 minutes for a fresh moist dough that I can chew and for a slight thicker crust that can be handled and hold toppings.
I love to bring my family to places they haven't been to, to eat! They love to eat esspecially fresh good we'll made food! I was excited for this pizza and I was literally telling my husband I wanted to bring my family here soon but now I don't want to bring them here for the pizza.
Like I said I'm not too sure if this was a one off, but the overall crust quality and lack of effort put into our pizzas made me not want to come back...

We first discovered Firecrust Pizza in Langley By-pass when our son was invited to his friend’s 9th birthday party. The restaurant usually opens at 11 a.m., but the party started earlier around 9:30 a.m. The place immediately gave me such a good impression — clean, bright, cozy, and full of warmth with its wood interiors. The owner, Randy, had such positive and energetic vibes that I thought right away, “I’d love to host my son’s birthday here someday.”
A few months later, we did exactly that — we held our son’s own birthday party at Firecrust! 🎉 The experience was even better than I remembered. Randy and his staff set everything up beautifully. The kids had so much fun making their own pizzas from scratch, with patient and friendly guidance from the staff. It was organized, safe, and surprisingly calm — every child got a turn and enjoyed the process of watching their pizza bake in the real fire oven.
After that, all the kids sat together to enjoy their fresh pizzas with milkshakes (which we pre-ordered for each family). It wasn’t part of the standard package, but it made the day even more special — the kids absolutely loved it!
When the party wrapped up, a few children were still buzzing with sugar energy and started running around and hiding under tables 😅. Since the restaurant was about to open for the day, I told Randy to please let us know if it was getting disruptive. But instead, he smiled and said, “They’re just kids — it’s a birthday! Let them have fun. If it gets too much, I’ll let you know.” That moment really showed his kind and generous personality — not just as a business owner but as a genuinely understanding person.
The party price was very reasonable, and the pizzas, salads, and milkshakes we ordered separately were all delicious. Every parent who attended told me how much they enjoyed the experience and how unique the idea was.
Honestly, this is the kind of local business that truly deserves to be recognized and supported. For parents looking for a fresh, creative, and memorable birthday party idea for their kids, Firecrust is absolutely perfect. It’s warm, family-friendly, and full of positive energy — the kind of place you leave with...
Read moreWe’ve been here a few times, and the man who I believe is the owner has been more than kind to us! Food is fresh and great, and the price is good for being able to make a pizza any way you want.
Most recently, I was trying to order through a buy one get one free promo on Uber Eats. At checkout on Ubers website, they said delivery was unavailable. Knowing that, I called Firecrust to see if I could get the promotion through another site (ie. Skip or DoorDash). They said that Uber was the only one, but they’d be happy to honour the promo over the phone if I wanted to pick up my order. They didn’t have to offer the deal to me this way, but they did, and I totally appreciated it!
Upon pickup, they apologized for the issues I experienced with Uber that were out of their control, and encouraged me to call in anytime I had an issue like that. Seriously, great customer service. It’s that type of service that keeps people coming back, and it’s that kind of service that encourages people like me to share our experiences through reviews like these. We will definitely be back again! Our lunch...
