Easily my favourite Kebab/Donair in Coquitlam!

This AUTHENTIC Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Donair counter is my personal favourite if one is craving high-quality donair. Xpress Donair House sets the standard here in Coquitlam, in my opinion.

I’ve been visiting here for a while now, and the consistency is what really stands out. The portions are generous, always—one certainly gets one's money's worth—but they never compromise on quality. I usually go for the Lamb or Chicken plate, and every single component is fresh and delicious.

The Halal meat is seasoned and slow-roasted to perfection, and I believe vegetarian dinners wouldn't be short of excellent options here either. Among the choice of salads with my meat plate, my favourite is the tabbouleh salad, which is crisp and invigorating, always. What truly makes this spot special is the expert use of sauces: to my appreciative palate, these blend really well with the meat and fresh ingredients, tying every flavour together. What's more, the side dishes are excellent—the rice is cooked and spiced beautifully, which elevates the entire plate meal.

Beyond the food, the service is always swift, polite, and friendly. The environment of the shop, I always find, impeccably kept and while it can be really warm inside in the summer months (perfectly understandable with all those roasters going simultaneously!), it’s clear the owners and staff put a lot of hard graft and soul into their food and business. It’s a proper 5-star experience from start to finish.

I love donairs and shawarmas and have eaten a fair share in my lifetime having grown up in middle eastern culture so I was excited to try this place from all the reviews. It’s a nice little quaint place that’s open late. I had the Chicken Donair for $11.99 (including taxes) for takeout. One should note that the prices on their website are completely different than what’s listed in store - (in-store prices are more expensive). I was the only person ordering when I visited but still had to wait about 5 minutes before being attended to by the person behind the counter. I saw fresh juicy chicken on the rotating rack that smelled amazing so I ordered it. Sadly, when I got my Donair made the person used the chicken that’s been in their warmer of some sort. The chicken was tasty but could have been juicier. The donair had a decent amount of meat chunks however. The veggies looked fresh on display and tasted fresh. The sauces were ok and did not really standout in taste. I also somehow did not get asked what veggie toppings and sauces I’d like.

The wrap/pita did not hold up well as it became soggy and mushy quite fast - could have been the abundance of sauces that were put in (not quite sure what they were). Additionally, for $12 this donair was quite small compared to other donairs I’ve had. Overall, good location and hours of operation for decent...

Donair House is hands-down the best donair joint in all of Metro Vancouver—no contest. Their lamb plate is a masterpiece: stacked with rich, tender lamb that’s perfectly seasoned, juicy, and never skimpy. You don’t get a few sad strips of meat like at other places—you get a mountain of it, laid over fluffy rice with fresh, crispy salad, and drizzled with that addictive garlic sauce that makes you want to lick the container clean. The portions are wild for the price, and the flavor balance? Unreal. Every bite feels like a full meal in itself, and they don’t hold back. It’s the kind of meal that makes you cancel your next plan because you need to sit and recover from how good it was.

They remember faces, crack jokes, and always make you feel like you’re part of the neighborhood. And don’t even get me started on the drink and ice cream selection.
