Today, I came here with my friend to have an early lunch. I plan to order a deep fried chicken drumstick and thigh with rice and black pepper sauce. The waitress they no longer offers chicken drumstick and thigh, they have chicken stick only, I agree to it. I also ensure her 3 times I only want black pepper sauce. After 10 minutes, my dish arrive with the tomato sauce with chicken drumstick and thigh with rice. I told the waitress this is not what I ordered. The waitress insists this is blackpepper sauce, it is their own style. It looks orange color, but it has blackpepper inside. Then I taste it, it is a tomato sauce with crush black pepper inside. I ask them to give me sperate black sauce, they refuse my request and still insist I have the black pepper sauce, I told them this is tomato flavour sauce with black pepper in it. While I am eating, the other staff come by ensure they gave me chicken drumstick and thigh with blackpepper sauce, and they unwilling to admit their fault that they make the wrong order. How can a simple dish make a simple mistake? And just admitted they make a wrong order, and apologize then give me the correct sauce. This is such a simple task. I WILL NOT go back to this deer garden again in my life, not even for any reason !! Not willing to admit their fault and unwilling to correct their mistake, plus lying to customer and think all customers can be fool by what they are saying. This is unacceptable!!! And keep telling all other customers in the restaurant that they are giving me what I order! I am a customer, I deserve to get what I ordered, even their is error in the order, I demand they fix their error and make it right for me. I paid for my meal, and all I get is the wrong order and waitress tell next table that i am the one not knowing what I ordered. This restaurant and waitresses are ridiculous!!! Worst...
Read moreFirst time to the restaurant. Seated for 10 minutes, raised my hand to order food. Waitress pretend they didnt see me and keep chatting. Then I had to walked out of my seat to order food. This fat female waitress with no smile on her face and asked what I want to order. I ordered a beef brisket noodle.and hot horlick. She told me it will charge 50 cents for it. Common drink for 50 cents? I can drink anywhere for free. Buy a jar in t&t supermarket for few buck. So I order hot milk tea. Food came, beef brisket too hard and chewy. Friend told me it is one of the best but to me its no good. I would go neptune restaurant with good service, good beef brisket. An old man came in and asked the waitress if he could just order a drink and wait for his son. Fat waitress said no and told him he must eat. I told the man you should go to the food court. I finished meal and call for bill. Again no one cares. So I went straight to the cashier and go. Overall, food below average, bad service, waitress were chatting non stop. I thought they should just go home and chat forever they like. Restaurant nowadays arent easy but should fire these staff immediately.
I dont think the old man was your existing customer. I saw how cocky the fat waitress have on her face when the old man said he only wants to drink. Instead of making up excuses on the comments, you better off educate and improve your staff on their serving skills. You deserve no star if there is the option. Maybe you should lay off that chubby waitress, I never seen her smile. Whenever I see her, I stop at the door and turn my way to...
Read moreThis restaurant will never challenge for anything more than authentic clutter of trays of dirty dishes stacked by the bar and a very ordinary seating area that makes no illusions about being decent and nice. The ladies who are both front and back are not English speaking but we are okay with the idea that they don't cater to a Caucasion crowd that much (but they should try to). We have gone there 4 times now and the first two the food justified the sparse interior. But the last visit about 9 months ago for take out dinner not so much. We live a 30 minute drive away so we expect a special feast when we go there and the prices are not cheap. They charge as if they are top drawer and they have been in the past in my opinion. Their take out this time was skimpy!!! The deep fried won ton is now some store bought cheap and frugal version and the portion we received was unsatisfying for us three. It was not the robust and plentiful won ton we received on our first visit. And for twenty bucks we get a meagre portion. Sweet and sour really not great either and again for the price why go so cheap! Lastly our fish dish was bland and boring and served in a medium takeaway plastic bowl that could have been a good meal for one, but was rationed out by the spoonful to be fair. So what is your attraction Deer Garden? Friendly welcoming service from your ladies? No thank yous and we didn't feel like our business was appreciated. Good food in portions that justified our 60 bucks? Nope. Or maybe I should exercise your tip...
