Cafe Sobahn has been on my list since last spring/summer, and I finally had the chance to try their food a few weeks ago.
We ordered: Two orders of the weekly special for $12.99 each, which was omurice for the week (came with sides of green salad, fish cake, miso soup, slice of orange and yogurt drink)
One kimbap $3.99 and one kimchi kimbap $4.99
Old school lunch box $8.99 (no photo)
I finished my set plus half of one roll of kimbap and was way too full. The special is a very good deal for the large portion. Everything I had tasted decent, and the salad was the best part because of the dressing. I like tangy/citrusy ones.
Kimbap was somewhat similar to the the ones I love from Assi Market, but I prefer Assi's. It's still good though. Kimchi kimbap was the same flavour as the regular version except with kimchi added on top (and inside I think).
I didn't try Friend B's lunch box because it just had rice, kimchi, fish cake, and spam. Our extremely picky friend was okay with it as a simple lunch, so it should be decent. The chef asked for our opinion about the food. I liked that they care about our feedback. Would definitely come back to try the cold noodles and other weekly specials! ^ -^

Read moreA wonderful cozy place, they have a very calm ambience and the owners are very friendly. I had been waiting for a new month to roll around so I could have their special omurice combo. The sauce was perfect for all the rice inside of the omelette--the rice itself was also fantastic. It was a very homely taste, with carrots and meat, with the gravy it was amazing! The side dishes; the panfried green onion cake, cabbage salad, miso soup, it was all very filling. I feel like it was a well balanced meal, especially with the little probiotic drink! I'll absolutely come here again and recommend it to my friends. I really appreciated gems like...

Not many menu option but this is why I like - they are specializing for particular menus with super good quality. You can good amount of shaved ice yet it doesn’t affect the concentration of broth. You will know how much effort they put to create that broth.
With their quality, I can eat their noodle everyday. I really hope they keep their high level of quality forever.
Now, parking It’s competitive but if you go there after 6pm, underground parking is FREE according to the staff so don’t get stressed if you can’t find...
