The only reason this place has any business is because Vancouver doesn’t have any good affordable Korean BBQ spots or any AYCE Korean places like Toronto, Montreal and the US. If we did this place would go out of business in less than a day.
Thought we’d stop in for the lunch special, turns out that’s just with hot pot nothing on special for BBQ. Pros: flavour of the food was good. Cons: Stingy restaurant. Small portion, got 4 appetizers, 3 were radish, made me pay $2.50 more for an additional bowl of rice (server didn’t say it would cost extra until the bill came), asked for more potato salad the server said not until we finish our dish, when we each wanted our own dish, these guys are just super stingy it seems. Some dishes came with soup on the same page of the menu but not the 2 meat dishes we ordered, bulgogi and marinated pork. We had to eat all the lettuce, cabbage and side dishes and order more side dishes to feel full…. and the service at the start and end were not good. The girl was alone tho so I’ll give her that but she never came to the table and we just sat there until I raised my hand and...
Read moreFirst I would like to say I am a regular here. Despite that, I love the service here, the waitress knows our order as we walk in and we get the food as soon as possible. My partner and I love this place and atmosphere, we always hope for the best for this business.
This KBBQ place has my favorite choices of sauces and side dishes, compared to other places I've eaten at. It's also close by so whenever we don't know what to eat we end up coming here and enjoying ourselves.
The service is amazing, and shout out to the waitresses especially when it gets super busy, they still try to attend to our table.
We usually get the fatty beef and bugolgi. The side dishes, rice, sauces, and meat all work great together.
Will continue to come here for the foreseeable future, always here almost every Friday.
I appreciate they hopefully don't judge me for continuing to ask for the potato side dish, it's my favorite to eat in a lettuce wrap with the meat.
It's great for a date night, or for a group of people. I've introduced KBBQ to many of my best friends with this place.

Read moreMy kids were wanting to try Korean at a restaurant for the first time so we settled on HAAN based on the decent reviews here. The ambiance was great especially on the very miserable rainy day that we went. It felt very cozy. The kids loved the novelty of cooking on the table and overall it was a fun experience to try.
The cons were the side dishes we not what we were hoping for. They didn't have the marinated potatoes, marinated boiled or rolled up eggs, daikon kimchi... basically the usual suspects you would see if you googled Korean "banchan". Unfortunately, none of the side dishes were to the liking of my kids so that was a waste for them. The service was also shotty as we went during dinner time rush. It was difficult to flag down a server down and when we did ask for more rice and water, they forgot to bring it to us. Lastly, holy hell is it expensive!! When they brought the meat over, we thought there was more coming until we realized there wasn't. We spent over $130 and left still very hungry. Ended up going to the Tim Horton's drive thru to grab more food...
