Hey ALL if I could give this restaurant a zero I would. Went there today Jan 23rd 2018 for lunch with my wife. 1st impression was that there was NOBODY at the front desk to great us, stood there for at least 5 mins until I walked into the area where SOMEBODY would notice us. We were greated by somebody who was badly dressed as his stomach hung past his waist line and arrogant to us. After being seated he mumbled who our server was and we both couldn't understand what he said, nevertheless we were very hungry and decided to wait for our server. Upon her arrival we placed our drink order and they came pretty quick then placed our food order. Wife asked if the shrimp and chicken tacos could be split and have fries with gravy server came back and said that we would have to pay for extra chicken breast we declined and asked for extra crispy fries, i ordered chicken parmesan with garlic mashed potatoes with seasonal vegetables. So we waited for our food and when it came Food came and my wife said if I'm on a diet cause we laughed at the portion size and no marinara sauce definitely not like the picture (trust me) had 1 bite and it was cold as were the mashed potatoes. Wife's order was a complete disaster taco shells were cold shrimp was cold and way too many onions now the fries which were to be extra crispy and the gravy was lumpy and cold, I went up to the waitress (blonde short girl with a bad attitude) started to argue with me that that is the way they make the food and it was better than before, before what!!!! I asked for more marinara sauce and by the time she came back and told me that it would be a couple of minutes I told her that the food was cold and why would a customer have to wait for some extra sauce. I told that it had nothing to do with her but she got pissed off and called the manager over to deal with us and upon speaking with the manager she walk by and I tried to tell her that I knew it wasn't her fault she flipped me off. Talk about customer service right in front of the manager we where shocked as was the manager....the manager took the food off the bill which we never finished or started but nothing eles We will never go back to that Boston Pizza or any other establishment. I think Jim Treliving would be totally disgusted with that kind of disrespectful...
Read moreI had a work group dinner here and while I didn’t mind the food, the service we received here was some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. We had a server named Hussain and he was extremely rude to us. First off, when we arrived, he never clearly stated when he would be taking our orders. He would just stand in a corner with his notepad thinking that we could read his mind. We did have a few people in our party that were more vocal than others so they made their orders known, but then he would openly roll his eyes at them for making many requests. For people like me who would quietly wait for a server to approach and ask us for our order, he would never do that because he would stand SO far away from our table and just walk away if no one directly called for him. I shouldn’t have to yell that I want something from across the room. He also brought our drink orders incorrectly so I’m not even sure if he heard us properly since we had to yell across the room to order. When he finally did come to take our individual orders, he crouched at the corner of our table and didn’t move individually to each person so the person at the far end of the table didn’t hear when it was her turn. When he was waiting for her order he just shouted, “um excuse me, HELLO” but she didn’t see him as he was crouched and far away since it was a long rectangular table. When we asked for water, he brought a pitcher but left it on a completely different table far away (we were in a special group room) and so we had to get up ourselves and bring the pitcher and cups to our table (for reference, our table didn’t even have food on it yet so it was clear). He took forever in between orders and gave us attitude with every interaction. Luckily however, he only took our orders. A different lady brought all our food and was super sweet and accommodating for the rest of our requests when we asked for takeout containers and other things. She was extremely tall, her hair was in dreadlocks, and wore glasses. I wish we received service with her the entire time instead of our other server Hussain.
The food itself was pretty decent, I ordered the ribs and they weren’t dry at all, but the service we received definitely took away from...
Read moreFirst of all, I am the last person to complain or write bad reviews about service, but I had to after my experience here:
-immediately greeted at the front, and brought to our table. No mention of happy hour or providing a menu for it, and no offer to start drinks.
-probably waited ten minutes before someone came to even greet us at our table. The server just asked if we were ready to order. I had to ask about if there was a happy hour, and they said there was and they went off to get me a menu, further delaying things.
-then the food eventually came, and it was cold. I am not a karen and I don’t care about burning hot fresh from the oven food; I just expect it to be at least warm. Imagine cooking some chicken at home, and then leaving it on your table for 30 minutes. It was like that, no semblance of heat.
-then to top it all off, they didn’t come to ask how our first bites were, and they didn’t even come at all to even check on us. Not even once. Not to ask how the food was, not to offer drink refills, nothing. Just came back at the very end once they saw our food was complete, just to quickly offer a refill and then give the bill.
I am not a fan of writing bad reviews, but the lack of service especially combined with the lack of customer traffic at the time was super disappointing. There were two people waiting tables here. Very efficient service without any actual customer service; it’s sad when people are asked to tip at minimum 15%.
Suggestions:
-the moment someone is seated, or quickly after, ask if the customer can get a drink started for them.
-if there’s specials, inform the customer and offer the happy hour menu, at the start.
-maybe come to take the order a bit faster.
-ensure food comes out hot and fresh, or at the very least, a warm enough temperature that you can discern it from the ambient air temperature.
-come back at least twice during the dining experience: once within a couple minutes to ask how the first bites are going, and again sometime in the middle to offer...
