I ordered the beef shawarma. I can say with complete honesty that it was the most revolting thing I have ever attempted to eat in my entire life. It tasted like actual vomit, and also had the consistency like as if someone dried out vomit and wet catfood into a solid chunk and then cut it up and called it "beef". To be clear, this is definitely not "beef", I literally wonder if it's actually vomit and wet catfood combined in some way. If that's not bad enough, there was a very sketchy looking 3" long hair in the bite that I took, and I mean that it was either an animal hair or worse, definitely not even human head hair. I gagged and barfed, and it went straight into the garbage, a total waste of $13.99(?), plus made me sick to my stomach, plus I was starving after a 10 hour day working stone masonry, and had to figure out other dinner plans, with an upset stomach. Whoever is producing this food needs to be ashamed of themselves for causing other people to put this revolting mystery material into their mouths, and charging people good money to do so. Shame on you. Meanwhile, I don't know where the heck these other 5 star reviews are coming from, but they DEFINITELY can...
Read moreThe woman running the stand was wonderful, and offered us a free falafel sample. It was incredibly good. I normally don't go for it but i thoroughly enjoyed it.
Interested, me and my friends ordered a lamb plate to split and i immediately noticed 3 things. The rice was turmeric yellow, the hummus was like silk, and the salad was far better looking than the pictures on the truck.
The rice and lamb was great. There was a couple of slightly too chewy pieces, but was seasoned excellently. Rice was cooked very nicely and had a very nice amount of seasoning. Nothing was too strong and i got a nice
The salad was the secret star. Sweet and a touch of tartness. The leaves were crunchy and tasted fresh. Not wilted or squishy as often is the case. The beets were nice and thin cut, which i appreciated as someone who generally dislikes the texture of beets.
The lamb plate was enough for two of us to eat and be satisfied, even with a third friend pecking at it
Absolutely worthwhile to stop here. I'll certainly be coming back whenever I'm...
Read moreToday, I decided to try the chicken donair from this place, encouraged by numerous positive reviews. Honestly, I would have walked right past it — the stand looked odd for a place that prepares food. But still, I took the risk.
After taking two bites, I found a long white tendon from a chicken leg inside, which was completely raw! As someone who works in the food service industry, I know very well the consequences of eating raw chicken. Naturally, I decided to return the donair and get my money back.
When I showed the girl at the counter the raw piece, I expected understanding and an apology, but all I got in return was a smile! The donair cost 13 dollars, but she only gave me 5 dollars back, arguing that I had already taken a few bites. She even tried to take the tip I left her when I made the purchase! Only after I expressed my indignation did she return the full amount. This is simply disgusting! It’s unsanitary and the worst service I have ever...
