I typically go to Starbucks or Sunterra for coffee since I work downtown, but today I decided to meet a friend at Credo instead. I was genuinely surprised when I paid $20 for a small matcha latte and a medium iced matcha latte with vanilla. I found the $.50 charge just to make it iced and $1.75 for a shot of vanilla a bit excessive.
The drinks were okay—nothing special. My hot drink was barely warm, which was disappointing since I expected it to be served properly hot. Definitely not something I’d rave about.
What really caught me off guard was the final total. As I tapped my card, I didn’t realize I’d selected a tip option (which I normally don’t mind), but when I saw the total come to $22, I had to ask the staff to walk me through the charges. The woman at the counter seemed caught off guard, she said it was a tip.. and became quiet, eventually printing the receipt where everything was broken down and made sense. I used to come here and really enjoyed it, but I find the prices now are quite inflated and no longer feel justified by the experience. I wish Credo continued success, but I personally won’t...
Read moreStopped in for a coffee at Credo on Rice Howard Way—a cozy, modern spot nestled in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Though it’s my first time reviewing this location, I’ve enjoyed their coffee before at The Carrot, where I once volunteered. It’s great to see their quality and consistency carry across locations. We ordered the Americano Misto, served with a lovely motif that made the experience feel extra special. The coffee was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced—just what we needed for a relaxing break. We’ve included a couple of photos to capture the moment and the beautiful presentation. Credo’s commitment to ethically sourced beans and expertly crafted brews is evident in every cup. The vibe here is relaxed yet vibrant, perfect for a midday pause or a quiet moment to recharge. Friendly baristas and a clean, minimalist space make it a standout among downtown cafés. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Credo is worth the stop. A great cup of coffee with...
Read moreI tried this coffee shop 2 days ago (Tuesday) in the morning at 0730... the coffee shop wasn't very busy, but the lady at the front seemed very stressed already and she seemed kind of rude when I overheard her talking to the younger lady working at the coffee shop.... the coffee itself I found quite strong and did not find my oat latte to taste very good, so I opted for a different coffee shop the next day and won't be going back to this one UNLESS I am wanting their muffins, which were delicious and warm when I ordered it.... gave this place 3 stars strictly because the muffin was good... but overall felt the vibe of the lady taking my order/making my drink to be overly stressed and didn't come off super friendly, and the actual taste of the coffee to not be a great...
