Ricky's All Day Grill - Gateway — Restaurant in Edmonton

Service was horrible. The server messed up every one our orders. And over charged us on everything.. good thing I checked our receipt bc she tried.to charge me $34 for a two by five, Ricky's is our fav breakfast spot so we know how much our meals usually cost. The chef is no good here, over easy eggs were so undercooked the whites of the egg was so runny n gooey too. Even simple pancakes were awful. Never going to this location again. Even after getting the server to make corrections on the extra chargers our bill was still $20 higher than what we normally pay and like I said Ricky's is our go to for years.. so this place is just not great overall, service, food, timely 😕 super susss as my boy would say. Food took quite awhile to arrive every time we went, we had went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner a few times while we stayed in the Holiday inn. Waffles were INCREDIBLE but a lot of the other breakfast food was mediocre. Eggs were sadly very rubbery , sausage undercooked and bacon way too crispy and almost stale. The waiters were sometimes very upset and not the friendliest but It could be because of rushes. The time it took for food to come out was way too long and i would not recommend ordering anything with ice cream or, milkshakes had to send two back to the kitchen for just being warm milk and the second time wasnt very better. I would go again but not the top choice especially...

We had a separate room booked just off of the restaurant. It was a great place to have a meeting or social get together, and still enjoy food and beverage service.

The staff were very nice and polite, and helpful given we had a large group to serve and separate bills. Since people arrived at different times, the orders were coming during our entire stay there.

Our stay was also a time for celebration and they did not mind us bringing in a cake of our own making.

This location is inside a hotel, and the bathrooms are a bit of a walk through the hotel lobby (so don't hold it in too long!). The Libby had a few TVs showing news updates of interest.
