I just ordered Pad Thai few minutes ago. I was very disappointed because the it does not taste Pad Thai at all. Pad thai should taste sour from the tamarind and sweetness from Palm sugar. I have seen other people used regular white sugar. I paid $18.89 for this one order (sumo box) and couldn't even eat it because the flavour is off. I called the store and talked to the guy who served me the Pad Thai. He said that is how the sauce is made since it's pre-mix. He did not even offer a replacement or anything to my order. The first time I went to Wok Box at this location was 15 years ago and i thought why not try it again. It was a mistake trying Wok Box, they expanded their menu but obviously did not do their research what the taste should be like of Pad Thai.
I gave 1 star because the boodles has the ingredients of the Pad Thai (except for the scrambled egg).
Will i go back or recommend Wok Box Jasper Location? No.

After 3 months I went back to this location and try their food. I have a complimentary meal from my previous visit and was wondering if they will honor it because it's been 3 months. Crew: I didn't get their names. Both of them were attentive and patient with me. I had a lot of questions with their menu asking them what the taste is like, what is the sauce made of etc. The cashier guy even let me sample the Sweet Tamari sauce when I asked him if I can try it because I am not familiar with it. I saw on the menu they have Adobo rice and I asked the lady what she thinks about it. She described it to me and compared to another Filipino dish. Maybe I will try it when I visit again. The only reason I was hesitant because it said Beef Adobo. Adobo is my favorite dish, but never tried it with beef. I eat it with chicken or pork.
I was so undecided because of so many selection, finally I wanted to try the Sweet Tamari since I know what to expect. They gave me the sump box and free side dish of spring rolls.
I wasn't expecting to get a full order of spring rolls, so that's a good surprise. The spring roll was crunchy and cooked in perfection. The sweet tamari sauce, the sweetness of the sauce is not overly sweet. It has the right balance of sweetness, although I would like to have a little chili sauce with soy sauce on the side. The vegetables are not over cooked, there is a crunch when I bite the celery pieces which I like. I also love the cilantro on top. Had I known it comes with it, I would asked for extra 🥰 The beef was tender and it has the right amount and size of protein to my order. Other fast food tends to have more veggies and thinly slice of beef you can hardly feel and chew the beef because there's nothing to chew.
Overall, my second visit was a good experience. My food did not disappoint me and I will definitely come back to try their bang bang shrimp and...
Read moreWok Box on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton delivers a flavorful, fast-casual dining experience with a menu inspired by a variety of Asian cuisines. With its customizable bowls and quick service, it’s a convenient option for those looking for a satisfying meal in the downtown core. I'll rate it a solid 4 stars. The menu is one of Wok Box’s strongest features. Offering a wide range of dishes—like Dan Dan noodles, butter chicken, and Korean-style beef—diners appreciate the bold flavors and ability to tailor meals to personal tastes. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-friendly options are available, making it accessible to a broad audience. Portions are generous, and most dishes provide good value for the price. Service at this location is often friendly and efficient. Staff are generally welcoming and helpful, whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. Orders are typically prepared quickly, which is ideal for lunch breaks or quick dinners. The ambiance is great, but there's also room for improvement. The dining area is basic and functional but lacks character. Its location on a busy stretch of Jasper Avenue means that outside noise or foot traffic can sometimes detract from the experience. This is great if you are into the hustle and bustle, and if you are not, then no. Wok Box offers quick, flavorful meals with friendly service and a menu that caters to diverse...
Read moreI didn't even get to the order. When I went in there was a single person running everything and he really didn't seem confident enough to be left alone. I felt awful for him. He was unsure of the day of the week at 5:30pm and was trying to offer me the wrong daily deal (no one had changed it since Christmas Eve). He kept messing up my order, or misunderstanding, I couldn't tell. Either way he kept needing clarification several times. After punching the order in I was obviously being overcharged, I don't think he gave me the deal. I told him it was wrong, he looked frustrated and kept trying to call someone on the phone (while he was taking my order) but no one would answer. It looked like he was having till problems when trying to correct my order. He had slammed his hand down in frustration at one point, it felt really awkward. A line up was building and I didn't want to be 'that guy' holding up the line (but I also didn't want to over pay) so I told him to cancel my order and I went to River City Revival around the corner.
This employee should not have been left on his own. I don't know if he was scheduled this way or if someone called in sick, but management should have been present to give the guy a hand. Saving money on man hours shouldn't come at the cost of an employee's comfort or...
