This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Edmonton. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience especially SAGAR. He always has a smile on his face and didn’t even bother when my kiddo spilled hot tea. Sagar was more worried about my son’s safety than the mess he had to clean. He right away gave us another cup of tea with such a smile on face that I felt how can someone be that sweet!!!The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Edmonton. Highly recommend! We had Momos, noodles, honey chilli potatoes and few mocktails that were so refreshing. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. I’m glad we went there and I am definitely coming here every time we visit Edmonton. It ends with a sneeze. I have been coming here for years because their food is delicious. Last night placed an order, went to pick it up. While waiting I had a view to the kitchen and witnessed one of the cooks sneeze with no effort to cover his face or even turn away from his station. Explained this to the server and she just looked bewildered. As our order was not yet ready, I left. No way was I going to enjoy a meal wondering if it was covered in sneeze.

Update December 13, 2023: I wrote the above review 6 months ago, and thought it was time to write an update.

I was first impressed that New Gurkha responded to my comment in such an honest way. That in itself earned a bunch of respect. Then, out of desperation/craving for my favourite Gobi65, started to go back. I have been back at least 6 times since the sneeze incident, and my orders have been fresh, hot, delicious, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have changed my review from 1 to 5 stars.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Thank you New Gurkha for being honest and for making some of the best Indian food...
