We went to Olive Garden for my daughter's birthday she decided to invite a few friends and that would be her party. We arrived early since no reservations could be made, and we needed two tables close together. We arrived at a dead restaurant, and it took over 30 mins to be seated as they had to wait for shift change... so odd as we watched others be seated during this time, too. Too bad, as we wanted to order some appetizers and drinks while we waited for my daughters friends.
Once we were finally seated, we received awful service. The waiter looked annoyed that he had to take care of our tables, and it took at least another 30 mins to get bread and salad. Then, the appetizers and main courses came right on top of each other, which was odd as we ordered our appetizers at least 30 mins before the main courses. Isn’t the appetizer supposed to come earlier? Is that how your kitchen is instructed to serve the food?
The waiter never once wished my daughter a happy birthday, introduced himself to either table, offered the cheese, or any sort of anything.
The front told my husband my daughter would get a free dessert but nothing... we ordered dessert, and he threw it on the table and walked away, and that's the typical service we received all night.
My husband got a appetizer as his main course which was ordered with the rest of the main courses (30 mins after we ordered the appetizers that still hadn't arrived) but it still came with the other appetizers (how and why?).
Also, when I finally received my salad, the lettuce was brown/red. We waited over 30 mins and couldn't even get a fresh salad?
I get Olive Garden is a busy restaurant, and maybe you don't care about customer service, but that is no way people should be treated. Especially how their birthday.
My daughter enjoys going to Olive Garden and was so disappointed on how her and her friends were treated... respectful 9 year olds just wanted to have a nice evening, but was treated like nobody. It's pretty bad when a 9 year old mentions.the quality of service they received.
Also, we were placed at two tables across the walkway from each other. The girls wanted to be independent but still needed help and supervision, so we were constantly in the way of the staff... again we came early so we could get 2 tables close to.each other. There was a table right behind us that we could have gotten since we had to wait 30 mins to be seated in an empty restaurant, but that would have taken some thought from your staff.
We had a voucher for a free appetizer, and the waiter embrassed us in front of our friends about the coupon... we spent over $250, and he had to complain about us using our coupon? Also, it would have been more professional to call it a voucher instead of a coupon.
Also, since the tables were separate, my husband paid one bill and I the other. The waiter stood over us while we checked the bills and watched us tip him... again, it is so unprofessional. He actually questioned my husband's tip choice, which was also very embarrassing in front of our friends. I believe our waiter was tipped way more than he deserved, but he definitely was not happy... again, we won't leave a huge tip just because you need to deserve it.
We used to go to Olive Garden all the time, and funny enough, the last time we were there, we had the same server we this time, and that was the reason we stopped.
My daughter said she regrets having her birthday party at Olive Garden and that we should have gone somewhere else. This comment makes me sad as you only turn 9 once, and she should have had the best experience ever.
Between our two tables, we had 9 people and only the 4 people (my family) had been to your restaurant. Your staff had the chance to convert more customers, but I guess why respectful to...

This isn't just a restaurant—it's a culinary pilgrimage, a journey to a place where the breadsticks are endless, the pasta is otherworldly, and every bite feels like a warm embrace from an old friend. And if you have the incredible fortune to be served by Tallan—well, you’re in for an experience that can only be described as divine.
From the moment I walked in, I knew I was about to embark on a gastronomic adventure of epic proportions. The air was thick with the irresistible scent of garlic, fresh herbs, and sizzling deliciousness. The ambiance? Pure perfection. Olive Garden has mastered the art of creating a space that feels simultaneously upscale and cozy—like you’re in the heart of Italy, yet comfortably nestled in the embrace of your hometown.
But here’s where Tallan comes in. Picture this: a server who is not just a server, but an ambassador of excellence. Tallan’s presence was like a fine wine—refined, smooth, and with just the right amount of character to elevate the entire experience. With a grace that could only be described as elegant yet approachable, Tallan made me feel like I was the most important person in the restaurant, and that every detail of my meal mattered.
The service was flawless—drinks appeared as if by magic, but never too soon, and never too late. Tallan anticipated every need, making suggestions that seemed to perfectly align with my tastes and the mood of the moment. When I asked about the specials, Tallan didn’t just rattle off a list, but shared each dish with the kind of passion that only comes from truly understanding and loving what’s on the menu.
And let’s not forget the food. It arrived hot, fresh, and utterly mesmerizing. The soup-to-salad-to-breadstick trifecta was a highlight of my life. The pasta? Flawlessly cooked, perfectly sauced—each bite more satisfying than the last. Olive Garden has unlocked the key to Italian comfort, and Tallan? Tallan was the guide who led me through the whole journey with warmth, humor, and unmatched attention to detail.
I honestly don’t know how I’ll ever go back to a “regular” dining experience after this. Tallan and Olive Garden have redefined what it means to dine out. This wasn’t just a meal; this was an experience that I’ll cherish for years to come. If you’re lucky enough to have Tallan as your server, treat yourself to a moment of true dining nirvana. You’ll never look at pasta the...
Read moreCame in for a meal a couple days before my birthday with my husband and honestly wish we hadn't. We ordered sodas, an appetizer, and decided to share an entree because we never even get close to finishing our meals otherwise. We have done this many times without issue. Sometimes they tell us there is a fee to split because of the refillable soup/salad, I always say that that is perfectly fine but I always turn down the soup or salad regardless and my husband usually gets soup. This time we ordered the 'Tour of Italy', nothing was said about a charge (like I said no worries either way). The server brought our sodas and said "oh by the way there will be NO refills" rather rudely, and promptly walked away. I assumed she meant the sodas and thought there must be a new policy with their drinks, whatever no problem. My husband's soup is brought and 2 breadsticks, I eat a breadstick, my husband eats a breadstick and his soup. The server comes to clear his bowl and says "Do you want a refill on your soup?—OH WAIT YOU CAN'T" before he can even say no. At this point I realize the 'no refills' thing was about the soup which is a super odd hill to die on considering only my husband was eating the soup anyway but we didn't really care because he didn't want more soup anyway. Next our appetizer came and the server brought another 2 breadsticks and this time says "just so you know this will be the only breadsticks we will be giving you, NO MORE, since you are SPLITTING". At this point I'm actually getting pissed off, she's giving major attitude and being completely unreasonable honestly. We weren't continuously ordering more breadsticks and we apparently are only allowed 4 total. We were already getting full by the time the entree came so I just let it go but I feel like we were treated like naughty school children when we weren't doing anything wrong or unreasonable. We spent more money getting an appetizer and an entree then we would have if we had BOTH gotten their current promotion of never ending pasta bowl. The final straw was when I said I had the email code for a birthday dessert and the server said "okay who's birthday is it?" when I said it was mine in a couple days she said "Okay just give me the code so I know you aren't lying" and rolled her eyes. Happy Birthday I guess?
Worst. Olive Garden....
