Gonga's Grill Brady — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

I've been coming here for years with my family when in town. It was always friendly, fast service with good food. The last couple of times have not been good and we won't be back. The young waitress was nice but not attentive. I had to ask her for cutlery and plates when we ordered our appetizer and she forgot to add my side dish when I ordered my meal. She was too busy chatting with the cook and he was swearing in the back loudly while my children were present. The food was not good either. The mushroom caps were not cooked properly the inside had raw batter and my grilled cheese sandwich was over cooked. My daughters' pierogies had no flavour. Be attentive to paying customers and keep the chatting to a minimum with the cook! We went later in the evening when it wasn't busy. Also be careful going into the parking lot as there are a lot of drug addicts/homeless people wandering around and they will approach you and at times they can be unpredictable with their behaviour. My girlfriend and I went for dinner on Friday nite,before the Sudbury wolves game. We did not have much time. As we entered,the waitress told us to seat ourselves. There were about 4 or 5 tables in use. We sat down,and waited for about 10 minutes. Nothing.Then,another couple walked in with 2 children,and sat next to us.Two minutes later,a waitress showed up,and went to their table.She put down the cutlery,took their drink order,then came to our table,put down our cutlery...……...and walked away. She then went back to their table,and took their order.We thought she would then come to our table...………..but she walked away again.We waited another 5 to 7 minutes,and nothing. Not our taste! We stopped there today for dinner. There is a huge parking lot in the plaza, a subway, Quickmart, Thrive Bell and a commercial building. It has an outdoor patio in summer. We were freezing inside. They have washrooms. The store looks outdated. Needs renovation and have these old huge TVs. They have a soup bar. The salad wasn’t fresh, the rice wasn’t either was very dry! The steak was done using butter on a stove top and wasn’t cooked evenly. We are not likely to consider it again.
