VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN AVOID.I was fed meat here today because the person taking orders at the front cash was too preoccupied with the door dash orders coming in to listen to me.I placed an order for a veggie dog and the full mozzarella one.I was very clear.we got outside and my partner ate the first half of the cheese one and then we switched..I took a bite of a very weird tasting cheese and swallowed it..once bitten a MEAT HOT DOG was revealed under the cheese.I rushed across the street to inform them.I was refunded but they were unapologetic and implied that it was MY mistake.I should have ordered “full mozzarella” instead of “mozzarella “even tho the person was clearly distracted(as I said with dash)when I said “FULL MOZZARELLA “.I told them that this is very serious and that this is the first time I have had meat in my mouth in 8 years…and a hotdog at that!disgusting.these people are not responsible enough to offer vegetarian options, this was reflected in their attitude towards the mistake.it was not taken seriously at all.we pulled over on quinpool road because I almost threw up in the car.I then got sick on the side of the road and then had to stop at the liquor store so I could buy a small vodka to sanitize my mouth and stomach of the meat oils ,ridiculous sounding I know but I was in that much of a panic it’s the only solution I could think of)needless to say after all this I’m not feeling well still.this was a serious mistake.please consider removing these options since there is no guarantee that people will not be fed meat under the breading when your restaurant is too busy for you to pay attention...
Read moreCuriosity has had me wanting to try here for a long time, but I'd always forget, or if in the area with others, they'd want to eat elsewhere. Came at noon on a hot Saturday in May. One customer was ahead of me, two came right after. About a 5 min wait for our dogs. There are so many mathematical combinations of hot dogs to get with different toppings and sauces, but I decided to just try the Original with mustard. Yummy! There are no seats, but there's a small sort of standing bar against the window, so I stood there to eat it right away. A cheap snack (over $5 with tax for this one) that may give me a heart attack sooner, but it's fun and I want to try a lot more of the varieties.
2nd visit: a rainy Saturday in May 2025 about 4pm. Tried the chocolate dog with icing sugar & cinnamon sugar. Very good. The milk chocolate inside was soft, but not melted as much as I expected. They don't have any sweet sauces that would go well with chocolate though... I'd recommend they get a chocolate sauce to drizzle, or icing drizzle. I want to go back and try more, just wish they had...
Read moreTried Chung Chun for the first time today after a friend of mine raved about them after being on a weeklong rice hotdog bender. I can confirm they are really good and well within reason of the roughly $6 per price. I didn’t get to adventurous on my first outing and got a simple cheddar hotdog without any of the extras beyond sauces. I am told however that getting the potato coating is just next level. Imagine a corndog coated in hash browns. I found it very similar to a corndog but these are rice dogs which mean they have a crunchier outer shell and a lighter inner breading then your used to. The cheese was super melty and acted as more of dipping sauce as it dropped onto the serving plate thing. The meat in this particular hotdog is a beef chicken blend and was good but exactly what you come to expect (each type of rice dog has a different meat) and I look forward to trying some of the others. will be back to work my way through the menu, the volcano hotdog is...
