I came in for all you can eat with friends and told my waiter (Vivienne) that I was celiac so she brought me a seperate soy sauce but when I ordered my sushi I noticed tempura but in it (which are not gluten free). I told the server and this time she brought me a seperate iPad, but in the time it took to track her down and get it, my friends had already had their food for 10 minutes before I could even order mine. As someone with celiac I’m obviously very nervous ordering out and on the second iPad, all the menu items were the same and some of them obviously contained gluten so I didn’t know what I could order (almost none of the items had a description of what was in them). When I tracked down vivvienne again she assured me that everything on the menus could be made gluten free. After ordering a spicy California roll, one of the cooks came out to tell me that the crab was not gluten free (?) so I cancelled that order and got a veggie roll instead thinking I could just get the spicy mayo on the side. Then vivienne came and told me that the spicy mayo wasn’t gluten free either. People with food allergies know how frustrating this is and I had already cried at this point and vivienne seemed very annoyed even though she had directly told me that everything could be made gluten free. The food I got in the end was good, but seeing as it took an hour and a half to get my first plate—and the fact that there was a two hour limit for all you can eat—combined with the fact that my friends had already finished their food, it was not worth $42. I asked vivienne if there was anyway I could had a discount and she blamed the cook who had told me the crab wasn’t gluten free saying that he’s new and didn’t know, so I asked her the crab was gluten free and she (being clearly annoyed) said no, and left (?) she came back out and told me they had 200 menus items that I could pick from (even though most of them contained gluten in some way or another or were literal beverages) and said I should have just ordered more and that it wasn’t her fault. Now, I understand that it wasn’t her fault that the food I wanted wasn’t gluten free during the entire exchange she was so annoyed and dismissive that it resulted in me crying 3 times and my friends tried to stand up for me but all she would do was switch my bill to be paid by the dish rather than all you can eat, so I still paid $30 to be incredibly disappointed. Honestly the robots had better service than her. To top it all off, something I ate had gluten in it anyway so I have been sick for the...
Read moreI hope this review is not removed. I visited a restaurant with my family for the second time in a long while. However, the dining experience was the worst. All the staff had very stern expressions and extremely unfriendly attitudes. They all seemed like they didn't want to be there. When we finished our meal and tried to pay, the cashier with black-frame glasses said we had to pay for the food left on our plates without explaining the restaurant's policy, which was very bewildering. I mentioned that it was my first time learning about the policy since it had been a while since I last visited, but the cashier insisted the policy was clearly stated on the menu and mentioned by the host, which wasn't the case when I arrived at the restaurant. I didn't notice the policy statement on the menu because it was too small and inconspicuous. I believe I'm not the only one who didn't notice the policy statement on the menu. Additionally, when the cashier brought the host with pony tail to verify, the host claimed they hadn't explained the policy because I had visited the restaurant once before. I realized the rest of the staff were talking about in front of us. When I mentioned to the cashier that my first visit to the restaurant was a few years ago, they treated me as if I were lying, saying that the restaurant had only been open for two years. Yes, but there wasn't such a policy when I visited the restaurant before. Plus, when I insisted to the host that regardless of how many times I've visited, the policy should always be verbally communicated to guests, they just sarcastically said, "Oh, really?" and left without even an apology. They treated us as if we were lying and didn't want to pay, which was still very uncomfortable. I felt racism as well and they both are racist, especially the girl who has black-frame glasses. Restaurant staff should always inform customers about the restaurant's policy before they start their meal under any circumstances so customers can be fully informed. It would have been better if they had said they would consider customer’s good ideas or suggestion about their business practices, but the cashier just said they couldn't and kept making excuses. The food was delicious, but the attitude of the staff clearly needs...

One of our favorite dishes are recommendations include their wontons (available on weekends only, both fried and steamed versions) and bao bun. Additionally, we always have sashimi, special rolls, black pepper beef, short rib, grilled squid, and Tomyum soup. The food was so good that we event forgot to snap some pics, so only few pics below, not sure it would be any help 🤭
•Service: The service at Sushi Jet is highly responsive and attentive. You can easily contact them through their Instagram account, as you did, and they will promptly respond to your inquiries. During our visit yesterday ( Canada Day), the staff was accommodating and provided excellent service. In particular, your server, Kim, was friendly, attentive, and even offered valuable suggestions. Kim and the rest of the staff made sure us had a great dining experience and kept an eye on refilling our water and assisting with anything we needed.
Overall Experience: Our experience at Sushi Jet has always been pleasant. Each visit has been filled with good food and enjoyable times with friends. We highly recommend this place to others. If you're planning to visit with a larger group, especially more than six people, it's advisable to call ahead and make a reservation.
