The first time couple of time I went to this restaurant I really enjoyed the food and the service was great, the last 5 times I have gone the service has been terrible, whatâs worse is I can see other customers who sit down after my group get much better service such as having water served to them, having better communication, getting their utensils and updates on their wait times, you know, the basics. For instance, we sat down and had to wait 1 hour for our food today, we didnât get utensils or water until 50 minutes later. Waiting is not the issue, itâs the fact that our servers didnât attend to us, communicate kindly, bring us water or anything and when we asked for water the server cut me off middle of my sentence and said sheâll get our water and utensils now, as if she is annoyed by me asking. Not sure why my last few experiences have been so bad, the owners are kind and always apologize if there is a delay or mistakes. The servers have not been good at all the last 5 times that I have gone. Not sure if I will ever go back which is too bad because I like the food but I canât stand the service anymore and rather eat somewhere else with...

Came here because it seemed most of the other sushi restaurants nearby didnât have a wide selection of sashimi. The chefâs selected nigiri sushi dish had: salmon, tuna, mackerel (saba), red snapper (tai), cooked eel (unagi), scallop (hotate), Japanese clam (hokkigai), cooked octopus, yellow tail (hamachi), and shrimp.
The hamachi didnât look quite right and seemed to just be a cut of tuna but the sushi chef personally assured us that it was indeed hamachi, just cut so that somehow the characteristic red portion was missing.
More than the sushi, two things that stood out were the seaweed wrapping for the maki (nori) and miso soup. The nori had a deep umami scent and had a nice, thick mouth feel. The miso soup also had a unique umami that did NOT taste like cheap restaurant miso stock.
Overall the nigiri we had tasted ok, but the fish was cut thin and the cuts were slightly small.
The green tea is good. Costs a dollar (but only a dollar).
In terms of sake, they only serve your standard house Gekkeikan...
