ZenQ Dessert and Ramen (Spring Garden) — Restaurant in Halifax

I previously left a review about the poor service I received from a staff member at this bubble tea shop. The owner kindly apologized and even offered me a free meal, which I appreciated. Since I’ve never had any issues with the food itself, I decided to continue supporting the business by coming back, even though I usually just order takeout and never mention about the free meal.

However, during my visit yesterday, after I paid for my drink, that girl handed it to me and asked, “Why do you still come back if you don’t like it here?” I was shocked, I was really trying to continue supporting the shop despite my previous experience.

When I mentioned the owner’s previous offer, she responded, “I’m the owner, and I just did it out of gratitude… you just came back for the free meal?” That was extremely rude and disrespectful.

If she truly is the owner, then I hope YOU realizes how damaging this kind of attitude is toward loyal customers. And if she is not the owner, I would like to hear an explanation from the real owner about why a staff member is treating customers this way.

This was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at any business. Good food and drinks can’t make up for being treated with such...

This place is terrible. The food they make are messy and tastes disastrous.

The hygiene standard of this place is so bad that you might have food safety issues from time to time.

When you add a note in your order, if you have some allergy, or there are types of food that you cannot eat, they won’t care. For instance, they will put coriander in if you tell them not to. If you tell them you are allergic to onions and ask them don’t put onions, they will add onions to your order. THEY JUST DON’T CARE.

And the worst of all, when you tell them they made a mistake that they missed the note. Their attitude is just horrible. It makes you feel that you are the one at fault. They just trait their customers horribly.No wonder they got a such a bad rating.

Horrible place to eat. Hope no one will go through the same horrifying experience again after seeing this review.

I am going to be honest. Reading the reviews has left me a little confused and suspicious. Many negative comments talk about "the woman with spectacles" which is VERY interesting wording between many different commenters. I would suspect people would say glasses, so wondering if this is some kind of targeted attack from one person who had a bad experience and asked others to comment or if they are bots.

Anyway, this place is my favourite. I love the lychee green tea so much and many of the food items are great too. Service can be slow sometimes but it is because there is usually only one person working. BTW the lady with the glasses is very nice and knows me. When I go in I ask for my usual and she knows what it is.

People need to realize that not everyone is super bubbly and energetic- that does not mean...
