A Restaurant with the most "Unhygenic and Pathetic" Environment & Customer Service without following the laws & regulations set for Food Industry as per Canadian Law. No Hygeine practices are being followed. Flour , Onion Bags on the floor without having a minimum "6 Inches" of space or crate underneath to stop anything from crawling into the food. The rice bags are left open on the floor as well. Staff would sit on the bag of onions while peeling them. I understand they come from a different background but they should adapt, learn and follow the Standards set by the Canadian Health Services. Cooking and other Utensils will remain on the floor in the kitchen. No sanitizing of tables and chairs. No 'Hair Nets' & 'Beard Nets' by the entire staff. The staff in kitchen would wear all sorts of jewellery which is "Not Allowed" in a Kitchen or Food Sector. You ask the staff one thing multiple times and wait for 15 minutes for it to arrive. Staff mainly "Samarika" will keep on forgetting what people requested her. This has happened multiple times and thus we have stopped visiting this restaurant. The good reviews they have are from the one's who were given 'freebies' and some sort of discount to post a " Fake Good Review". The owner & his son both would not follow the rules of wearing 'Hair & Beard Nets'. How can one expect the staff to follow the ethics set aside by the ' Canadian Health Services' . Below is the picture for reference of their Negligence. Regards Member of Conservative Party of Hamilton.

I recently stopped by Indian Chinese Hakka in Hamilton for a quick snack and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. We ordered the **Papdi Chaat** and **Pani Puri**, and both dishes were absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced—just the right amount of sweetness with a tangy kick that made every bite a delight. What really stood out, apart from the food, was the exceptional service. The person who served us was extremely friendly and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable. At one point, he even asked if the music volume was okay for us, which showed a great level of attentiveness to customer comfort. For anyone looking for a quick bite or a casual meal with a blend of Indian street flavors, I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is cozy, and the food will definitely make you want to come back for more. I’ll be visiting again to try out their main menu offerings soon! Happy Eating ☺️

I recently did take out at an Indian Hakka restaurant that has quickly become a favorite for me. The food was exceptional, with every dish bursting with flavor and a perfect blend of spices. What impressed me even more was that this place serves halal. The service was incredibly efficient, with my order ready in just 20 minutes. I tried their noodles, fried rice, and chicken Manchurian, and each dish was the best I've had in a long time. The noodles were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice, the fried rice was fragrant and well-seasoned, and the chicken Manchurian was tasty and going well with fried rice. Portion sizes were generous, making it excellent value for money. The combination of great taste, quick service, and satisfying quantity makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving Indian Hakka cuisine. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!

So I was a regular customer of this restaurant since they renovated the place and got it up & running. On Sunday August 27 | 2023. I called up the restaurant multiple times to place my order over the phone & no one answered. Normally Restaurants would call back just like any other in Hamilton or elsewhere If they missed a call because they know it must have been a customer calling in and they actually care about their customers. Eventually, I had to visit and place my order in person for dine-in in the afternoon. The restaurant was quite busy which I understand. However, 15 minutes after taking my seat and table. None of the staff seemed to have acknowledged my presence and "No Waitress" served "water & cutleries" I asked the waitress "Harsh" twice and she forgot as it was busy and I get it. Then I requested waitress named "Smarika" can I get a glass of water please ? To which she did not reply nor acknowledged and walked away. At first, I thought she heard me and assumed she is going to get me a glass of water which they should serve right away as common basic etiquettes of being a waitress. However she picked up the spray bottle and cloth to start cleaning other tables to get them ready for new customers who did not even arrive at that time. It was very "Disrespecting" to see that she ignored my request and all she cared about was cleaning the tables rather then catering the one who is already waiting for 15 minutes. This disgusting and shamefull act & attitude coming from "Smarika" made me feel as if I was there for free food. I was also a customer just like others infact a regular one. If the staff thinks or trained in a way to focus more on customers who are in a group to provide more revenue and let "one alone" suffer is pathetic to watch. What is the point of dining - in when you have to get up pick up a glass , get water etc ? I got pissed and left the restaurant without having my food which I did not care as they did not care about me. The families would come once in a week or so but they lost a regular customer who would give positive feedback to everyone else. If the restaurant is quite and a couple customers including myself are alone. The staff would go fiddle with their phones in the kitchen after serving food & we have to scream on top of our lungs to get assistance with anything. Even then the staff would not listen, since there wont be anyone staying at reception to cater our needs or to pick phone calls. This is Highly Unprofessional, Disrespectfull and peak of Ignorance. I feel bad for the owner as he is a good guy as I met him personally a few times but when they were building up the "Repo" of the restaurant they would request with folded hands please post a good review and be very nice and always stay there for assitance. Once, they got restaurant up & running and started getting busy. They forgot the fact that "We The Customers" were the one's who made it famous once by giving good feedback and now the "Table has Turned". If a customer can get them highest ratings they can also be the same to give 0...

I ordered through Skip the Dishes so I didn’t have much interaction with the employees. I ordered the tawa chicken, roti and gulab jamun.

After placing the order I received a call from the restaurant saying that they were sold out of tawa chicken even though that availability was not reflected on their Skip The Dishes menu. They asked what I would like instead and I went with the karahi chicken ‘cause that was my second choice.

After I talked to them I double checked the prices for both and the tawa chicken (which I ordered) was $1.50 more than the karahi chicken. While not the biggest difference, I didn’t appreciate how the employee did not let me know. So I paid the price for a tawa chicken order ($18) for an order of karahi chicken ($16.50). I will also note that I was further let down when I got the order and saw that they didn’t try to cover the difference of the cost that I already paid for with something i.e. another gulab jamun piece.

Once I got the food and tried it I was dissatisfied and disappointed. The karahi karahi had some flavour to it but, was overpowered by the spice. So, I would describe this as a spicy karahi with little flavour profile. The chicken was also somehow really bland.

I am extremely dissatisfied and upset about the gulab jamun I ordered. They are flavourless balls that takes on more of the taste of the weird tasting oil it’s cooked in. It’s not worth $6 in the slightest for 2 gulab jamun. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Lastly, all I can say about the roti was that it was a flatbread. There was nothing to it. While a roti isn’t supposed to be the main star of the show it still failed at being a decent supporting role. I would describe it as an edible thin slightly oily flatbread. This is not worth $3.50 let alone $1.

There was nothing noteworthy, good or even relatively decent about my order. I got a free can of pop as there was a promo for a free can after purchasing x amount.

This can of Sprite is the best part of this meal.

This meal costed me $38.28 in total ($18 chicken, $6 gulab jamun, $3.50, $0 pop, $4.45 delivery fee, $1.12 service fee + service fee tax, $4.16 hst, and $1 courier tip).

All in all, never ordering from here again. I highly suggest never ordering from this place. At the start I just wanted to order some south asian food ‘cause I was homesick…clearly it was a mistake to order from this place.

Never again will I order...

This restaurant is a Nightmare. Do not go here if all you want is to get ignored by the staff walking past you. We went for dinner couple days back. We waited for the girl named "Smarika" who was on shift that night to clean the table and seats so me and my family could sit. She started serving other customers as if she did not hear us requesting her to clean up the place first. Finally, we sat down and asked her for Food Menu and Water to be served which is the "basic" being a waitress. Then she gave us the Menu and started cleaning other tables for new customers. I mean FR ? This completely shows that the staff does not give a damn for those customers who already sat in and ignore their requests to make arrangements for the new one's walking in. We were not going to have free food , We were also customer's just like others. When finally we ordered . We noticed that the "Indian" family who came after us got served first while we waited for our food. I confronted "Smarika" and asked her name and why is it taking so long for our food and the other family got served before us even the fact that they all came 15 minutes later. She replied that they had ordered over the phone and they are their regular's so it is easy to get their food done as they know their taste of food. It was so annoying and mind boggling that all they care about is their regular's. There was a couple who suffered the same experience. Everytime they asked for something the staff would pass by saying she will come back but would never. The couple wanted water, Eventually the girl got up and filled 2 glasses of water from the water dispenser and took them to her table on her own. This was so hideous to watch the untrained & unprofessional staff doing that. The girl "Smarika" was like a lost lamb as she could not handle bunch of customers at once. We go to a restaurant to Dine- In to enjoy your evening. If we have to get up to grab everything then what's the freaking point of dining in at a restaurant ? Me & my family got pissed and left without having our dinner. This is not how businesses work & this is not business ethics at all. Will never be going nor recommending this place to anyone ever again. We were excited as someone had referred us here but guess the person was wrong!! Word of mouth is the biggest marketing and now they have got "Negative" feedback going around from us based on how the waitress and...
