Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Hamilton

Update: 2 years later and this Popeyes is just the worst. How do they find such miserable workers? And the food - cold fries and very dry boneless wings. Yuck

Popeyes is, in my opinion, by far the most random fast food place. You never know what you're going to get. You may get really good chicken and fresh hot fries. But more often than not they'll let you down. It just seems as though the staff doesn't care what they serve you. Or how poorly they treat people who have entrusted them with providing a decent meal.

I was going to try Church's now that they're trying a Canadian comeback. But with too many poor reviews I decided to stick with Popeyes. Bad decision. Of all the bad Popeye's experiences I've had in Canada this was the worst location. Not only did it take far too long to get the food but it was terrible. And not in the usual Popeyes way. The chicken nuggets were way overcooked. I mean way!! You could break a tooth on these charred remains. And they tasted terrible. Yuck. Right in the garbage. The 10 fries that came with them weren't bad at all. But seriously, why were the fries a quarter the size of a usual order?

How many tries are you supposed to give the same place? I'm in the double digits. As bad as KFC is, at least they're consistent. I'd rather know what I'm in for. But I think Popeyes has now converted me to be a Mary Brown's customer. They've yet to...

Second time I have ordered here and both times it was 45 minutes late. The second time I tried calling after 30 minutes and they picked up and hung up immediately. This repeated 3 more times over the next 15 minutes so I guess they didnt want to answer the phone. When they arrived my food was cold and I asked for sweet heat dipping sauce for the 16 peice tender family meal and i got 1 and 3 ranch dipping sauces. The guy told me they didnt have any left and threw in whatever they had in the bag. I asked why they were 45 minute late he said sorry smiled and walked away. The issue is I paid by MC so he got his tip already hence him not caring. Tried calling store again to see if we could rectify the situation. They picked up and hung up immediately again so I give up. Its really disappointing that this happened and unfortunately I cannot say I would order here again just based on the customer...

Was Monday special of 3 chicken tenders at 5.99 + HST, was met with a pleasant, nice smiling young lady on this day 07/17/2023 around 12:30 P.M We ordered 2 orders of these chicken tenders (Monday Special) at $5.99 + HST and 2 Pepsis. Order was served promptly and as served hot, we ate right in the food court, chicken this day was excellent, batter (mild) was light and crunchy, cooked to perfection and was moist not stringy. Had some left over and brought home to our dog, she loved them also. Usually our chicken place to go is Mary Browns. and they have a special on Mondays of a Big Mary sandwich for $4.99 + HST. Decided to go here today, as A&W had a deal on their 56 burgers, but we went with Popeyes. We always experienced good to excellent service and food quality at this particular location.
