Kung Fu Tea on Enfield (Mississauga) — Restaurant in Mississauga

Parking - 1: Minimal amount of space as there is only street parking available in front of the establishment and across the street.

Atmosphere - 1: At first glance, the store appeared to be clean and welcoming, but when you’re standing in front of the counter, or anywhere in the store for that matter, you start to see a lot of filth very quickly. While I was waiting for my order, I started to notice markings on the walls, the stains on the couch, chairs, and the coffee table. There were also stains on the counter from what I’m assuming is from spilled drinks, and these stains were not new. It is evident the stains have been sitting on the counter for quite some time and have been ignored. The more obvious stains on the counter were from when someone removed some old signage but failed to remove the adhesive residue leaving dust to stick and create large black outlines of where the signage used to hang. I observed several other areas of uncleanliness, but what surprised me the most was their window frame at the front entrance. On the frame, it looked like tiny dead insects hidden among specks of dirt. Regardless, the frame needs cleaning and is in desperate need of maintenance as there are clear signs of water damage as well. There was also no running AC in this establishment, which is ridiculous as the high for the day is 26 degrees.

Space - 1: There is limited space for seating, but from what I could see it should comfortably seat at least a dozen people, but their furniture will tell you otherwise.

Service - 4: Quick and prompt as expected. No surprises.

Food - 5: Quality of the food fortunately matches other bubble tea locations I have visited. Made fresh!

Would I recommend visiting this location in its current state? No. The owner has some work to do, and needs to be done yesterday. Summer is here, so there is no doubt people want to go outside and be able to enjoy their favourite bubble teas in a clean, sanitary and cool environment to beat the heat. People are more willing to spend more time and money with businesses that can accommodate those services, so I found it humorous that the “owners” response to a review from another customer months ago stating that "cleanliness is something we take very seriously” while we face the same matter. (Check the review from the customer and you’ll see a photo of a vase filled with fake Roses sitting in the corner of the floor collecting dust. It’s still there! How serious do you think this owner is about cleanliness?) While I will not be revisiting this particular location unless they get themselves together, I would highly recommend going across the street and visiting Gong Cha instead for your bubble tea cravings. Gong Cha is located in a mixed business building with proper AC and clean facilities. However, if you prefer the KFT brand, then I would recommend visiting their location at Dixie and...

Worst place to go the way they are trying to do business is not at all appropriate. Staff is absolutely unprofessional and pathetic. They would comment on everyone passing by and would not come out of the area behind the black curtain regardless how many times you ask them to tell how long for the order. I know they get really busy but the time I was there it was not at all busy and has three of the staff working. The staff doesn’t even have basic manners to address a customer when they walk in and when they walk out. I literally saw people waiting for 15 minutes and the staff didn’t come out and at the end the customers had to leave. But this didn’t even bother them but they continued with their same attitude. While waiting for my order to be prepared I saw 3 people walking with even ordering in an empty restaurant. It is not at all good for the business. The owner or management should definitely look into this seriously or in no time they won’t be there. The slush are absolutely amazing but this doesn’t mean the staff will not be treating customers the right way. To the business owners: If you don’t want to pay 30% commissions to apps like Uber Eats and make the maximum profit you should focus on your staff and the way they behave.

kung fu tea has very good drinks and super sweet staff. they welcome you in and serve immediately, politely too, patient when you ask questions. i had almost no wait time after i placed my order, and the price per drink is definitely placed right. pearls are warm and fresh, the ice cream is very rich which makes the milk tea creamy, oreo crumbs add a well balanced burst of sweetness.

edit, i've been trying their fruit tea selection - it's the greatest thing you could ever get. they've got a wide range of refreshing and delicious green tea or oolong tea blends, i love their citrus flavours the most. i've never had any fruit tea better than kft's fruit tea. i would recommend either their grapefruit green tea, SUPER refreshing and my top favorite (so far), it comes with agar bubbles as a fixed topping. or their signature lite, it's a whole experience on it's own, a very good oolong tea & fruit blend.

overall, i'm very satisfied with the experience i had here, both the drinks and their service. i would go back again...
