My recent dining experience at Udupi Madras Cafe was an absolute treat for the senses. This restaurant, which specializes in South Indian Cuisine, truly transported me to the heart of the region with its authentic flavors and delightful dishes.

From the moment I entered, the aromatic spices and warm ambiance set the stage for a remarkable culinary journey. The menu offered an extensive array of South Indian delicacies, each dish crafted with precision and authenticity.

The dosas, a highlight of South Indian cuisine, were impeccable. The crispy yet light texture combined with the savory fillings made for a mouthwatering experience. The variety of chutneys and sambar served alongside complemented the dosas perfectly, elevating the flavors to new heights.

Moreover, the idlis were soft, fluffy, and simply melted in the mouth. Served with a side of flavorful coconut chutney and piping hot sambar, they were a true testament to the restaurant's dedication to traditional recipes executed flawlessly.

What truly stood out at Udupi Madras Cafe was not only the quality of the food but also the authenticity of the flavors. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and an attention to detail that highlighted the rich heritage of South Indian cuisine.

The service was exceptional as well. The staff was attentive, friendly, and provided recommendations that enhanced my dining experience.

In conclusion, Udupi Madras Cafe is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic taste of South Indian Cuisine. Their commitment to preserving tradition while delivering exceptional taste and quality makes this restaurant a must-visit for food enthusiasts. I highly recommend Udupi Madras Cafe for a memorable and flavorful...

Firstly, thank you for the lovely food that you make every single time! I have visited Udupi Madras Cafe multiple times over the past few months, and I always enjoy my meals here. The flavors, the quality, and the overall experience keep bringing me back.

However, I wanted to share a small experience from my most recent visit. Every time I place my order, I request my dosas in a certain way with some additions. Previously, this was always accommodated without any extra charge, as I have also mentioned in my past reviews. But yesterday, I was informed that there would be an additional charge for adding onions to my dosa. While this isn’t a big deal for me, I was a bit surprised because I had never been charged for this before. The attendant mentioned that this charge has always been in place, but for the past three or four visits, I was never asked to pay extra.

Again, this isn’t about an extra dollar or two—it’s about consistency. It would be great if there were a clear standard so that customers know what to expect. That being said, I really appreciate how the staff handled the situation. They were extremely friendly and professional while explaining the charge, which reflects positively on the restaurant’s customer service.

A special shoutout to Miss Cetu for her exceptional service! She had a constant smile while taking orders, delivered the food on time, and ensured that everything met the desired quality.

Overall, my experience was great, and my family and I will continue visiting. The food was excellent as always, and we truly enjoy dining...

I had high expectations until I entered. The moment I entered it says wait here to be seated. I waited and one staff said someone will be there shortly. Finally after 5 mins someone came and they told me to go and sit at a seat. I was going alone for this store and I expected a normal experience. I sat down and I didn’t get a menu or anything, no utensils, nothing. I waited 15 mins and no menu. Staff were just walking around me but ignored the fact that there is no menu. A group of 4 people and a group of 3 people came and they were seated and suddenly they got their menu. I was about to leave and then see a staff coming and getting their order. Meanwhile I have been waiting for like 20 mins without even a menu. Then when she turned around , I made eye contact and then she gave me a menu. Then after 5 mins someone came and took my order. Overall, I waited 25 mins to order and the treatment was horrible. The staff felt so disorganized and confused. While I waited for my order, I can hear the tables near me taking about them not receiving their order. Then I see the staff delivering the wrong item to a table and getting send back. Finally after 10 mins of waiting, the food came. The only reason I want to go there again is just for their food because the food tasted very fresh and good. Good job to the kitchen staff!! At least they are saving the restaurant’s reputation compared to the front of the house staff. I will definitely try it again but never going...

Authentic and delicious casual south Indian food. It's reasonably priced, and the taste is amazing. If you like idly try the idly bath which is idly dipped in sambar rasam and spices. The thali was great as well. Service was a bit slow.30 minutes for paper masala dosa when they were around 70%ful. But food was excellent. The coconut chutney is freshly made. I've tried the brunch buffet too and it's good to go back to. What can they improve ? The servers aren't professionally trained.. for example they should go back and ask if you need anything else from time to time. Didn't happen once. But they just seem to walk around waiting for guests to call them to ask for something. I guess it's more "authentic service " Indian style ? Haha. Also once I saw a server carry a water jug with his thumb inside the jug to hold it.. that's a no-no. Service needs better training and polish but food is good. For more polished service try saravana Bhavan also in Mississauga. But food is great in both places. We will be going back for this group little south Indian food place that's been around a while. It's changed owners a few times but the chef is good making great food.

Worst experience ever. Never gonna go to this restaurant again. We came here on 11th June. We got the table at 8:15pm and order everything by 8:30-8:40pm. I got my order after 1hour 15min when the server came to ask me if we want order anything else since they were closing the kitchen. I told him I didn’t even got my 1st order how am I supposed to order more. People came after me even they got their order. I order Diet Pepsi Can and it taste weird so I check the date of exp. And it was expired in Feb 22, 2021. They are serving that drink which was expired 1year and 4 months ago. I gave them back and ask them to give me the new one and they told me they don’t have any since all are expired.I don’t know what else have been expired there. After everything when I went on the counter to pay the bill they charged me for that Pepsi can and bottle of water which I didn’t even order. Good thing I checked it. And the lady on the counter (shift supervisor) didn’t even know what table have ordered what. If they think I am lying they can check the camera and their inventory. Never going here again.

I recently visited Udupi Madras Cafe in Mississauga and tried the Chettinadu Masala Dosa, Dahi Vada, Royal Falooda, and Misal Pav. Overall, the food was decent, though nothing stood out as extraordinary. The Chettinadu Masala Dosa was flavorful but lacked the wow factor. The Dahi Vada and Misal Pav were satisfactory, while the Royal Falooda was just about average. The ambiance is quite authentic, capturing the essence of South Indian culture. However, the service was a bit slow—we had to wait and eventually ask for the menu. This was a little disappointing, though it didn’t completely overshadow the experience. While I wouldn’t say I loved the food, I would return if I'm craving South Indian cuisine, mainly because it's the nearest option to my home. They have many more non-South Indian food items which I’d like to try as well. I’m also interested in trying their weekend breakfast buffet, which offers a few selections at a reasonable $15.99. Overall, Udupi Madras Cafe is a decent spot for South Indian food, especially if you’re in the neighborhood.
