Reply to the owner: No, not all of your orders were served to guests. I am not hawking over every table in your restaurant, only the ones that were close to me since everyone was sat around us within a 10 minute difference. The table next to us also had the exact same issue and was waiting 25+ minutes for his one dosa order. He also mentioned the same thing to us as we were getting up to leave, he didn't mind waiting more but we certainly did. You're more than welcome to check your cameras to verify my claims. Again, have your servers actually check up on tables that they are meant to be serving and this would have never happened and SHOULD never happen to any paying customer.
Original review below. â------------------â------
So I am absolutely disappointed to have to leave a negative review for something that should have just never happened. We arrived on the 5th of August at 8:15 PM, we were quickly sat down within a few minutes by one of the servers. She was kind and polite, the restaurant was busy so it took them another 10 minutes to take our order at 8:25 PM. This is my second visit at the restaurant, the first one was very similar with a 20 minute wait but we gave it another shot after a month hoping things have improved.
A different server had taken our order and once our order was taken, there was no follow up whatsoever by that server at all. Not once. The table next to us who's order was taken AFTER us had 4+ dishes arrive, meanwhile our single Masala Dosa order is no where to be found.
One of the servers brought a wrong/different order to the table next to us to which we chuckled thinking it was meant to be ours, when asked about it that was actually not even the order meant for us. We eventually got up to leave at 8:58 PM because a 45 minute wait for one dosa is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.
More so, the initial server who took our order should really just consider following up with their tables to see if they've even had their food served. Absolutely appalling behavior that left my mother upset. I am truly sorry for the server who had initially sat us down because she had to hear some harsh criticism from my mother which really was meant for the server who took our order. After listening to us for a minute she did try to check up on our order and asked us to give them another chance but sorry after 40 minutes of wasting our time and completely killing our mood, we weren't going to wait around further.
How a single order is this delayed vs massive orders for tables seated after us kept coming is just insane to me. I really feel bad for the server who sat us down because you could genuinely see how upset she was with this situation.
Management here really needs take accountability and address these issues, after reading reviews I am not the only one who faced these issues with this location. Saying we're going to make sure it never happens again in multiple reviews doesn't help when this issue is still existing.
It's really a shame because we wanted to try it together as we are residents in the same building and now we for sure know to just go on the other side to Udupi Madras Cafe where the only long term wait may be for seating due to a full restaurant but the food comes after 10 minutes of placing your order.
The first time we visited this location, we had a similar experience on a weekday to wait 30 minutes for food when it wasn't even busy, I figured that was a one off so I brought my mom along thinking that was maybe when they first opened but I think this will definitely be the first and last for us.
Please value your client's time and address these issues so your future clients might not have their time...
Read moreI used to be a regular customer at this restaurant and always bought their tray biryani for events. We loved their biryani and especially the gravy that came with it. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing.
Yesterday, I ordered two small party traysâone for myself and one for a friend. When placing the order, I clearly mentioned that it was for two people; otherwise, I would have simply ordered a large tray to save money. I was told it would take 30-40 minutes to prepare.
I arrived at the restaurant after 35 minutes, only to be informed that several orders had come in after mine and that it would take another 15 minutes. I patiently waited, but when I checked again after 15 minutes, I was told it would take yet another 15 minutes. In the end, I received my order after a total wait time of nearly 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Now comes the most frustrating part. For two trays of biryani, I was given just a single small container of raita and a completely different type of gravy. When I pointed out that I had ordered two trays and should receive separate portions, I was told that they no longer provide large containers of gravy and that the new gravy was some kind of baingan (eggplant) curry. The main reason we used to buy their biryani was for the delicious gravy they used to serve, and now they have completely changed it without notice. Even when I explained that this was for two separate orders, their best solution was to split the already tiny container into two.
Itâs sad to see a well-run business deteriorate just to cut corners and maximize profit. They could have simply raised their prices while maintaining quality instead of resorting to such cost-cutting measures.
To make matters worse, when I finally ate the biryani, it was nothing like beforeâdry, bland, and completely lacking the taste we once loved. My friend, for whom I had ordered the second tray, called me to express the same disappointment.
A humble request to anyone reading this: This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, and I personally recommended it to many friends and colleagues, all of whom loved it. But whether due to a management change or a shift toward easy profits, this was the worst experience Iâve had. I request others to be cautious and not rely solely on old reviews or past...

My recent visit to Madras Peppers in Mississauga was an absolute delight, leaving me with a craving for more of their exceptional South Indian breakfast items. The restaurant not only boasts a warm and inviting ambiance but also serves a culinary experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.
We started our morning feast with the classic Masala Dosa â a crispy, golden delight filled with a flavorful potato masala. The dosa was perfection itself, with the right balance of crunch and tenderness. Next up was the Idli Vada, a heavenly combination of soft idlis and crispy vadas served with an array of delectable chutneys. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that transported us straight to the streets of South India.
However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Madras Chai. This aromatic concoction was a burst of spices and warmth that awakened our taste buds. It was the ideal accompaniment to the meal, providing a perfect blend of comfort and bold flavors.
What truly set this dining experience apart was the outstanding service provided by Jot. Her attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our satisfaction elevated our visit. Jot's recommendations and knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.
