Highly disappointed in the service at this location. Went through drive thru which was NOT busy but still told we had to park & we waited 20 minutes for our food only to come home and notice the order wasn't complete...one of our meals was missing the fries...then I checked the bill and after using three $8 & change coupons we paid $36 & change...so clearly even though coupons were mentioned when ordering they weren't calculated on the amount of the bill. We take some responsibility on that though as we just did a tap and drive up. But after realizing I wonder where is the competency of this location? Why do you take orders if you dont enter them properly into your checkout? I just dont get it and management should be more involved & overseeing the staff to avoid bad word of mouth around the neighbourhood and on google reviews. I may only be 1 paying customer but mistakes like this continue to add up and before you know it a bad reputation could cost you your location & job. Personally we won't be returning, Id rather drive further and get better service. I work too hard for my money to just throw it away on incompetence. Enjoy the extra $12 profit you made tonight on my order & the fries I didnt get tonight McDonald's Meadowvale, trust me it wasn't a tip for your service.
Update Jan 29 2024 - so I gave this location another try tonight and is it coincidence another mess up? Last day for coupons so I did drive thru to use 2 coupons the McDonald's associate told me I can't use 2 coupons on same order I have to do 2 seperate orders I was confused as I have in past used more then 1 coupon on my same order so not sure why some McDonald's associates can do this and she couldn't but no big deal I did 2 seperate orders. I went to the window to pay 1st order went though fine the 2nd order I tapped before I clued in so error on my part but I immediately questioned her why it was a coupon for $8 and it came to $13 she said I don't know I guess the coupons aren't working. I'm going to be as nice as I can with my response to this but perhaps this McDonald's associate needs more training? Clearly doesn't know what she's doing? She ultimately couldnt take accountability for her error, she didnt scan the coupon and its only $5 more that I paid but I went here to save money not pay regular prices. I work hard for my money and refuse to give it to this location EVER AGAIN! You have incompetent people working for you. She asked me if I wanted to cancel it and get a refund but with a line up of cars behind me the last thing I wanted to do was hold up other customers. Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for as long as I can remember because it’s only a 5 minute drive from my house. I have never once had an issue or a complaint up until now. I came during dinner hours to the drive through and it was no line at the time. The lady I was speaking to through the intercom was very much rude the moment she got on and spoke to me. I asked for my meal to be a large meaning ( large fries and large drink) the lady didn’t understand what that term meant, and because of this, her attitude became more obvious. I then asked her if she was giving me attitude. She questioned me back shouting “Excuse Me?!” I then asked her again and she confirmed “Yes! I am”. I then pulled up to the window to ask who I was speaking to through the intercom. A young man was apologizing on her behalf and understood the situation. She then came up to the window where the man was and continued shouting from behind the young man repeatedly yelling “how am I being rude?!” being belligerent as she was before. The same man had to ask her to step to the side to have him diffuse the situation. I then proceeded inside the establishment to make a complaint to the managers. From my understanding I felt that both managers I was speaking to was being just as rude as the staff member was, definitely justifying her behaviour or making it seem that I misunderstood the situation and I certainly didn’t feel that my issue was going to be resolved. I filed a complaint on their website in regards of this matter. I’ll not let this situation be taken lightly whatsoever. They certainly need a crew training done at this location on professionalism and/or customer service. Starting from management down to the crew staff. Behaviour was distasteful and disappointing. Read moreIn addition to the below complaint, the service at this location has seriously worsened. I ordered a bacon and egg McMuffin, hash brown, and americano this morning. As the drive-thru line was very long I went inside to order. There were only 2-3 people ahead of me (i.e., not very busy inside) and I unfortunately had to wait nearly 10 min for this relatively simple meal. The staff seemed to concentrate on the drive-thru, which likely would have been much quicker in the end. This is not too unusual at this location...
I have come to this location several times without issue. Unfortunately I had a very negative experience last night that needs to be shared and addressed.
I went through the drive-thru at about 3:30am on May 22 (after a brutal 10 hour visit to the hospital ER...). I was greeted by a very terse/rude individual who barked out "We are closed and not taking any orders". No "hello", no "sorry", no explanation at all. This was concerning and confusing considering the drive-thru is supposed to be open 24 hours, which is why I came to this location. I asked when they would start serving but did not get a response. I next drove to the window and no one was there. There were some customers eating inside so I'm not sure what the problem was. Rather than waste my time/energy arguing I saw that A&W were also open late and were more than happy to serve me. Their staff were courteous and respectful.
