There was a flyer for this place in our mailbox. We were really excited to try it out since we love crepes! However, when we got there, they were not even done renovating yet. Not sure why they sent flyers so early just to disappoint potential new customers.
Recently, we've passed by the area and saw that they're finally open. So despite us not having the bogo flyer anymore, we still decided to try out the place. The prices are what you'd expect, maybe just a little higher than the other crepe places. There were not a lot of customer service to speak of. You order your crepes at the counter and wait at a table for them to bring it out. That's all. The batter are made with rice flour so it's a little healthier. Taste-wise, however, the ones we got were so so. The toppings weren't too plentiful, they're mostly at the top. And one topping were missing from my sister's and my mom's crepes but we didn't bother to say anything. The crepe brulee was the worst out of the bunch. Very plain custard cream when it's suppose to be the star since this crepe have nothing else in it. This crepe place is also Japanese style so there's no plate, fork, or knife. The paper holder doesn't tear nicely so it's difficult to rip open. This style of eating is fine for regular crepes but for ones with ice cream, you'd have to finish most of the ice cream first. The aloha banana smoothie special is just frozen banana blended.
There were more people coming in after us and we noticed that they got their crepes way faster than us despite them ordering complex ones with ice cream. Oh, and this place also have a stamp card. My friend gave me hers after she tried it out. Despite ordering 6 crepes and a smoothie, the girl only gave me 1 sticker. Not sure if I can...
Read moreNeat little place. The crêpes are fresh and soft, and taste great. The fillings also seemed fresh. I bought a savoury "smoked salmon" and a sweet "blueberry cheesecake" crêpe and both were delicious. The prices are about where I'd expect them to be and are listed on the website. Everything is made when ordered, so there is a bit of a wait, around 10 minutes in my case, but it's worth it. I'm planning to go back.
The grand opening was obviously delayed. Promotional flyers with a buy-one-get-one-free offer, expiring July 30, arrived in early July but the place didn't open until just a couple of days before August leaving almost no time to take advantage of it. Fortunately the owner apparently realised how bad this looked and extended the BOGO offer. I went in on Aug 6 and had no problem getting two crêpes for the price of one. Hopefully that will continue until at least mid-August.
Update: Went in on Aug 14 with the same coupon (received multiples at my building) and they flatly refused it. I did not order...
Read moreCrepes tasted delicious I got the Nutella banana. It was sweet but not too sweet and banana was just at the perfect ripeness. The crepe itself had a nice crisp to it. Which is good so the toppings don't make it soggy. It was also great that they had gluten free options. Their service was amazing. We walked in looking on the menu at the back wall which sometimes is difficult for some people and they showed us the mini menus to hold were available. When we sat down we were not expecting water to be served to us, but water was served. The lady even came up to us and made sure that the toppings in the gluten free crepe we ordered was okay. The aesthetic of the place was so cute, spacious and comfy. I'm definitely coming back to try the other...
