I am back for more of their lunch specials. I ordered my favs Combo #1 and Combo #5. Like I said before, these lunch combos are the gems. They are always tasty and well worth the price.

The service has always been friendly and helpful. Thumbs up all the way here.

I was at this mall yesterday for curb side pick up at the Canadian Tire. As a preface, I have been to this mall many times. But I am usually at the other end of the mall where the Shoppers is, and I have frequented Cobs Bread, Pho 99 or 89 ( I can never remember really ), Dolled up Cupcakes and Turtle Jacks.

But yesterday, while I was waiting at Canadian Tire. I noticed " I heart Boba", which is a very good bubble tea place. Then I started looking around this end of the mall....and I realized that there is a Chinese/Canadian restaurant next to the KFC.

Wait a minute here.... I have been to that KFC ages ago, and maybe I just never noticed.

So I decided to give it try as I was in the mood for some Chinese/Canadian food. And because so few of them are any good, I was skeptical indeed. The place looked dated, but it is no big deal as long as the food is good right?

It looked promising when I went in for my take out and the owner was talking with two regular customers. I ordered two lunch combos which includes a pop/water. In terms of value, this is the best deal in town at around $8.00 + taxes each. The lunch combos do end at 3:00PM.

The portion was delightfully generous. And the food and the sauce tasted fresh and flavourful. I will definitely return to try their other items. I do like to support local mom & pop businesses vs. the National...

I've been coming here for more than 10 years on and off and I think this will be my last. I was put on hold for over 7 minutes then gave up. Each time I tried calling back, I got a busy tone, but eventually got through. When I went to pick up there were leaves all over the ground making the place look messy. They were pushy with paying with cash but I had none on me, only debit. I was a bit taken aback by them using the square app for debit/credit purchases as this is not something I'd expect from an in-store type business like this. I'm also uncomfortable with some teenage girl using her phone to process my banking information. Of course there were problems with this app. After a few attempts failed, i then had to leave, go to a bank and withdraw cash in order to pay. The food was subpar as well. Spring Rolls were small and tasted cheap. Crispy butterfly shrimp were rock hard. General Tso chicken were also hard and the sauce tasted a bit off. I asked for beef with broccoli and got beef with veggies. They should change the name to "veggies with beef" instead as the beef was not the main part of the dish. They raise their prices and lower the quality. I can see I'm not the only one with the same opinion as their ratings have dropped significantly. This is a real shame as this place was once a little gem. I get that times are rough, but lowering your service and food quality isn't a good method to save a few bucks. I will be going elsewhere for Chinese...

This used to be our go to place for Chinese food. The food always tasted fresh and the containers were full to the rim. I think management or ownership has changed. The food is horrible now. I'm so disappointed. The chicken fried rice smelled off (I didn't continue to eat it because of this) and the chicken in the rice was barely there. What little was there, was very dry and tiny diced pieces. The rice was kind of hard and taste a bit stale with broken pieces as if they chopped it up. The chicken balls were just ok. The sweet and sour sauce was clumpy. The shrimp with vegetables was bland and it seems like they are using less and less quality ingredients in their food. This is the third time I've noticed a difference. They've also changed the containers to smaller ones so you get less food and they've increased their prices. When you cheat your customers, they don't return. You will not get repeat business. I'm not coming back here for food. It's a shame too because although the decor could use an update, it used to be an awesome place for healthy quality Chinese food. Not any more. So long...
