Al-Taib Boulangerie — Restaurant in Montreal

Shattered piece of Glass found inside our pizza, come on, out of everything ( paper, fly, etc) but a frick'n glass.

We have been buying from Altaib for a long time, they provide the best pizza hands down, not sure what is up with the management nowadays, I think they just became so arrogant all of a sudden. But I talked to Mr Farhat, he is pretty good dude, but I don;t know the people he hired are incredibly horrible.

My intention is not to bash this resto as many are making a life by working here. But you have to also about the health and safety of customers, there are a lot of responsibilities of a business, and one of them is to maintain the basic safety standary ( like basic omg).

We bought a jumbo chicken pizza, i think the price was like 25 ish, my dad bought it. Long story short, we found shattered piece of glass. My dad;s a nice guy, he's like it's much worse in our country, but this is Canada and we have FDA and other organizations. So he did not want to complain, but I want to because you guys gotta get your things together.

We called Altaib, and the guy/manager on the phone is like next time you buy we will give you 25 % off on the pizza and he just shut the phone. He knows he messed up so he couldn't confront. Like man up, and accept your fault. It's simple as saying sorry sir, this will not happen, and we take our customer's safety bla bla. But no, next time you come, I'll give you 25% off.

I am so dissapointed at this place. I just hope you guys get your things together because people finding shattered pieace of glass in their pizza is not cool. In fact finding a glass inside your pizza should be unlikely but I do not know what happened. You guys have horrible safety...

Poor service, pathetic portions, forgettable quality.

Went there to get a large shish taouk wrap which is 9/9.5 bucks. The guy suggests a shish taouk plate instead. Im usually a fan of plates, so I order a small one, because usually in Montreal the small plates have good meat portions. He tells me the small is too small, but I dont change my order. I stand there to make the payment, 3 mins later he tells me its 17 bucks(Keep in mind I didnt see the price of a plate, it wasnt on display). I am shocked and I say thats too high! He tells me sorry but we already started prepping your order. He also tells me he already warned me. Again keep in mind all he said was the the portion was small, never mentioned the price, (the price isnt there in the display menu either). 12 mins later they give me the smallest plate in all of Montreal. Refer to the photo for meat portions.

I dont usually do negative reviews, this is the worst review I have left, ever.

If you are looking for Shawarma or Shish Taouk, best to find...

I’ve been a loyal regular customer for many years. I used to go in person and recently I’ve ordered pizza through Uber a few times. Was always perfect and delicious as always expect todays order. Pizza was burnt and undercooked at the same time, quite an accomplishment! I called them to tell them this, the person I spoke to was horribly rude and angry, tried to tell me I am lying and that it’s not possible to be burnt and undercooked and tried to get off the call without doing anything about it. After much insistence from me, the best solution he offered was to re-order just a drink from them through Uber again and he’d send another pizza. This still cost me another $7 because of fees and what did I get: a totally undercooked pizza (raw dough) without the drink I paid for. Unbelievable. I don’t know what the hell is going on there, but surely I can’t give them another chance after that. Very disappointing when a solid staple...
