The food was awful. We were in Chinatown looking for a bite around 10:30 pm, and unfortunately for us, this was the only spot open. It was pretty packed, so we assumed the food would be good. It wasn’t. Most of the food we tried made me question whether the food was safe to eat. There was a common theme: the food tasted stale and old, and everything we ordered came out in record time, which meant nothing was fresh. It gave us no time to enjoy our food — McDonald’s takes more time to prepare a meal. We ordered the pork, wontons, dumplings in peanut sauce, and duck. The duck was the biggest disappointment, both in terms of taste and cost-to-portion ratio. It was literally four small pieces of old, chewy duck that instantly put my stomach in shambles, and we paid over $20 CAD. All in all, our meal was $65 CAD, and we left so unhappy and feeling gross about what we had. We love Chinese food in hole-in-the-wall eateries and eat pretty much everything, but this restaurant just missed the mark.

Very yummy food. The famous eggplants with Japanese tofu and pork is an absolute must. 22 $ for a big delicious plate (see picture with 2/3 of the whole portion) is more than fair. We had lobster with garlic and onion too. and half of the BBQ duck with rice. All was DELICIOUS. I live in Sherbrooke and wish we had such an authentic Chinese restaurant here which is unfortunately not the case. My favorite Chinese restaurant everytime I visit Montréal. Also the staff is much friendlier now than in the past. Ah yes they include 15 % tip already in the bill. Some Will find this not correct but if you work in restauration or are informed, you Will understand that because products' prices are much higher now so the restaurants need the tip also for paying fairly their staff and often for surviving. Oh and the tea was free.

This place is pretty bad and honestly; pretentious. I have no clue if management was changed or if they fired their best chef but currently its almost inedible.

I had the beef mein w/ satay ( a peanut butter based sauce mind you ) and it was the most unappetizing meal I've had in a while.

The noodles were not cooked all the way through, the sauce was DISGUSTINGLY salty or just incredibly sour. The peppers were completely raw, and the beef, although cooked perfectly, is practically unseasoned on its own. This is NOT satay. It really feels like just a soya/hoisin blend slapped onto a mess of noodle, beef, and pineapple. The sweetness of the pineapple was almost useless in balancing the saltiness. I ended up only eating about a quarter of my plate even after trying to scarf it down, you know, to not waste 20 dollars.

The service was very passable, if not very detached from the client. The only time I was served was to get a table and to get the reciept. Everytime I'd ask for water, they'd nod, and have a CHEF come out and pour my water for me while the servers watched. YOUR CHEFS ARE NOT YOUR SERVERS. The servers seemed very irritated for no reason, and the cashier was an unpleasant woman that seemed like she just wanted me out the restaurant for no reason aswell.

I caught her trying to get me to give an 18% tip. For what? The non-existent service? The disgusting meal that I had to essentially burp down? You people are honestly lucky that I didn't dash. What a disgrace.

The atmosphere wasn't anything. Some wrapping and decoration, otherwise nothing special at all.

Overall, ruined my evening. I felt my belly become more sore by the hour, eventually calming down when I slept.

There's at least 30 restaurants in Chinatown. 25 are probably better and with...

Went here expecting a cheap meal by restaurant standards (given it looks like a takeaway or cafe), but felt a little cheated. Two main courses only with plain rice and two cokes ended up costing over $80. The real sting in the tail was the 18% tip added (for service allegedly) to printed bill - not optional but forced upon you. By “service” did they mean the waiter that didn’t speak English and looked angry when you asked him a question about the menu? I doubt the locals get that tip put on their bill! The food was tasty enough but no better than a decent takeaway. The inside is functional but thats about the only positive thing to say. Formica tables from the 1970s and a mop that looked filthy and hadn’t been changed in years (brought out to clean up a spill) was rather off-putting. The food arrived VERY quickly which was good in one way, but so fast it was troubling. Too fast! The place has a strange system of taking orders- you have to fill out an order form left on your table and hand to waiter. Good luck filling it out because its far from clear what the columns on the form mean. The only waiter doesn’t speak English if you need any advice. So all in all, could I recommend? Unfortunately not. If you’re going to charge restaurant prices and compulsory tips you need to act like a proper restaurant and this place has a rather grim interior with some cheap tables and plateware, basic fare and is clearly intent on fleecing compulsory tips from the tourist. The staff are all smiles but they clearly know what they’re about as they must make a decent living with minimal investment in the business. Probably been operating this way for decades. My fortune cookie at the end said I was going to “live in luxury”. It couldn’t have meant my visit to the...

We(group of 5) went to this restaurant yesterday for dinner around 11pm as the closing time of this restaurant was 12am. When we went inside we were informed to place the order quickly as the kitchen would be closing. So we all ordered three dishes and the service was real quick. Around 11:35 one of the server came and started taking the plates from our table and didn’t even as if we were done with our meal and one of them just ordered a big bowl of soup and he took them away without even consulting it with her who was still eating.

Let me come to the worst part when we finished they came and gave us the bill which was one bill and we told them can you split the bill according to the dish ordered as some of them just ordered soup. He came back splitting the bill into equal three ( two couples in the group) parts. So we went to the billing counter and he said with an attitude that you can later divided amongst yourself. We said it’s a simple bill you can do it. Then he took out a pencil and said it will take 10min to do the calculation so wait. We waited and he ended up adding 15% gratitude tax with each our bill where the restaurant states (15% gratitude adds up for more than 6%) so we asked why have you added it for us and he was very rude replying you have to pay it. One of my friend said no we cannot when the service was really bad and poor. He was literally throwing the receipts at us once we paid. I have never seen such an attitude and arrogant behaviour from an restaurant. It wasn’t like we were eating for free or we were sitting there past the closing time. Even then it gives them no right treat a customer/ human like that thinking they are some supreme people. Worst restaurant ever in my...
