Passing by Downtown, tired and hungry, tried this place. I may be picky with my Pitas but this is by far one of the worst I ever had. I ordered the Chiken Pita toum & pickle. It was arround 14$ à Pita (with the simple pita bread, not Saj or baguette) + in the trio format, it comes up arround 20$ich. It was for a take out, still added a small tip. As you can see in the photo, they gave me a pita filled with garlic sauce (the quantityof the sauce, was so much exagerated, it felt like none sens), pickles, and chiken crumbs ("des miettes de poulet).
As soon as I start eating I though it was weird, not yummy, almost disgusting with all the garlic & pickle taste, tried to look it up, noticed the crumbles of Chiken, thought to my self dont be difficult, you are just at the beginning. I was wrong. Passed the half, it was all the way through the same, you can't even taste the Chicken at all. Stopped eating and decided to go back to them, I wanted to check if I didn't understand their concept and to let them know I will be doing this review.
The girl tried tried to argue with me that the 20$ is for the trio and not the Pita itself. I said still for 14$ a pita, its not correct, to which she reply its a 150gr Chicken per sandwich! So I start putting my fingers in the sandwich and extract the crumbs of chicken from it and asked her, is this what you call Chiken ? Because for me this looks more like Chiken waste that have been served to me!
Even if she offered to replace my sandwich, I didn't want it anymore, its the first one that should have been done correct. In case she doesn't know what a 150g of Chicken looks like, she could take a look to the attached picture of 500g of chicken breasts and divide it by ~3. In my sandwich I don't think there were even a 30g!!
What sadden me this evening, I work hard to get myself things, I was tired, thought I stopped to a nice place, would be visiting it again, though I wasn't respected as a customer. Also, it did sadden me that this kind of business is the face of the city.
If you don't know how to do a simple chicken...
