Visited Nov 2/21 around 4pm. The waitress was wonderful, service & pizza were great. Such a good experience we went back for dinner the next night (Nov 3/21) around 5 pm. What a difference. The waiter was disinterested from the start. After we placed our order other than asking once how it was once he disappeared for the remainder of our meal despite the fact we needed other condiments & napkins. When he did return we requested dessert. Cheesecake & Baklava. He didn't bring us any napkins with our dessert and left before we could request them. Gone again. The cheesecake was generic but fine. The Baklava was inedible. Very dry & hard to cut through with a serrated knife. Served with whip cream and on-top of syrupy chocolate sauce. We didn't eat it but did not ask for any concessions. We just set it aside. The waiter returned and asked how the cake was (not the Baklava). We told him cake was fine the Baklava was awful. He demanded what was wrong with it. So we told him. He begrudgingly said he would take it off our bill. Time to pay. The night before the machine didn't work. The waitress told us one of the machines had issues, went and got another which worked no problem. Second night, same problem. We told him we needed the other machine and explained what happened the previous day. He grabbed our credit card and repeatedly swiped it without our consent. We asked for the other machine again. He finally went to get it. The machine worked part way and then said the connection was lost. As my husband was trying again the waiter felt compelled to say that if it didn't work this time it was not the machines fault and looked disgusted. When I asked how it could be our fault if the connection failed he had no comment. Finally the transaction went through. No apology or anything from this rude man. We had been recommended to go here when we visit Jasper and on our first night we could see why. Second nights experience means we would never return nor recommend as that waiter was one...
Read moreExtreme disappointment and rude service from the waitress.
Was here on Sep/28/2021 around 9:30 p.m. Non busy, no customer inside. We walked in questioned if they are still open for business the waitress said “Yes, we are open!” The whole thing changed directions from here!
Waitress Veronica mentioned several times about their high standard for meat lovers (AAA beef) and set an very high expectation for us. When we ordered the 14oz Rib Eye steak, rare and patiently waited.
After the dishes comes up I first suspect the steak cut was little thin, but without hesitation immediately taste it. SOURry taste coming from nowhere just punches my tongue like an 60 miles per hour truck, I did not expect an AAA steak would have such aweful taste into my mouth. When the waitress Veronica checked our table about how the food goes I asked her “truth or lie?” She said “Truth.” So I was honest about how unpleasant about the food. She then asked me so I want to switch the steak? Since I am paying $45 for this masterpiece therefore I do not hesitate about my willingness to switch my steak. And the horrible moment begins…
From this moment the waitress Veronica switched into a different person and start being very rude and showing her attitude. I mean if you don’t want to switch why asking the question at the beginning?
At the end she gave me the bill, removing the steak, and threw down the bill in front of me and said “just tap your card don’t bother to tip”.
WOW, out of blue in Alberta or in whole Canada never been experienced with such rude, immature service.
Folks looking for good food don’t come here or you will experience sour steak and Veronica’s hell service.
Peace.
Their Steak problem: Taste blend. Did not sit in room temperature long enough before cooking. Taste very watery. Weird sour Taste. 4 Not...
Read moreA Taste of Greece in the Heart of Jasper!
If you’re ever in Jasper and craving a little vacation without hopping on a plane — Something Else is your ticket straight to Greece. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere transported us. Warm lighting, cozy vibes, and just the right amount of Mediterranean magic in the air.
But let me tell you what truly made our evening unforgettable: our server Pavlo. What a gem! Pavlo was not only incredibly attentive and professional — he had us laughing all night with his cheerful attitude and genuine charm. I was there with two of my girlfriends, and he made each of us feel like royalty (or at the very least, like the stars of a Greek romantic comedy). His service was flawless, and it’s rare to meet someone who brings that much positive energy to the table — literally and figuratively!
Now, let’s talk drinks. I ordered the blueberry mojito and OH. MY. GOODNESS. Hands down the best mojito in Jasper — maybe even the best I’ve ever had. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. I could’ve had three more, but I promised myself I’d stay classy.
As for the food — absolutely delicious. I had the chicken souvlaki with Greek salad, and it was perfection. Tender, juicy chicken, and that salad? So fresh, so zesty — it honestly felt like I was back on a sun-drenched patio in Santorini.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, amazing service, and a little Mediterranean escape in the Rockies. Pavlo —...
