Went to this restaurant while we were on a trip through the mountains. Kids had waffles with berries, which were fresh and satisfying. Ahi tuna sandwich was enjoyed by on of our group and eggs Benny by another these meals were all great. Problem was with the Harvest breakfast, eggs were burnt completely on one side as well some of the potatoes. A few potatoes were so hard I actually injured my upper pallet when chewing. The server was great and pleasant, asked the manager about my meal as my mouth was now quite irritated and I lost my appetite. They only offered 25% off my meal as " you ate the protein " the Manager stated. Which, my daughter ate my 2 pieces of bacon and one sausage after I hurt my mouth. As the Picture shows the crisp egg pieces the pieces of potatoes there were like wood hard. When discussed further with the Manager I asked if she would enjoy eating those. She simply took my plate and walked away....15 mins later the server returned and removed my meal from the bill.

June 2025 update. I am back in Jasper for another visit. I am so glad to see this cafe is still there, and coffee and food are just as good as last time. Adding a few more photos to the review. This is the best cafe in Jasper, and the best one in Alberta, probably the best in Canada at least for me it is. Although the damage from forest fire is still visibly devastating, Jasper is still a great destination to go. It is so beautiful, full of life and adventure waiting for you. More importantly, your visit will be the most effective way to help the people who work and live in Jasper, to help the town to rebuild. Sep 2023. I had a oat milk latte and a Vegan breakfast with scrambled tofu, potato and avocados on toast, both tasted great, best Vegan coffee and breakfast I had in Canada during my visit. A must go for any Vegans visiting Jasper.

My favorite place in town, with the best customer service! I love everything here, my recent brunch here was phenomenal. I had the load avocado fancy toast and it was perfect, the eggs were pushed perfectly, the bacon was crispy and thick, and the potatoes had the perfect amount of crunch. My girl had the Kale and potato hash, I've never been a fan of kale but I would've devoured that dish. A perfectly poached egg, the kale was crunchy and with the house made lemon hollandaise went perfect with the mushrooms, potatoes and red peppers. Outside seating was great, I had my dog, my girl, and amazing food and service. Even the coffee was amazing. I highly recommend this place for brunch, lunch or dinner.

I’m sure a mistake was made but lack of communication was unprofessional and left us all disappointed with even the two decent meals.

We arrived at 7:40pm the restaurant had 3 tables of 2 indoors, and we had a table of 6 and a dog so we requested to sit on the patio with our dog. They OPENED UP the patio for us, nobody was outdoors.

We had gotten off a 4 hr drive to jasper, looking for dinner, starving. This restaurant had a patio for us and weren’t busy so we chose this restaurant over another that had a 40 minute wait for a table.

ONE HOUR AND 30 MINUTES later, we noticed 4 tables 14 customers who came after us some as soon as 5 minutes before they were served got their dishes, all of which we had ordered the same dishes.

We also clarified we want the dishes to come out as they were ready, no waiting on any dishes that would take longer.

We clarified with staff about other tables being server before us. The staff stated one table arrived before us, and the other they thought it was better to bring out their meal before us because it was “quick” to make, we ordered the same food.

We made the staff aware we were the first on the patio.

They then came back and told us there was an error with one dish (did not specify the dish) and 3 other tables were served before our 2 starters, then 5 minutes later a charcuterie board. We asked how long our dishes would be, they said they’d clarify but we were never informed. 10 minutes later our other dishes came out. 2 of the meat dishes were dry and one cold.

Our dishes started coming out at 8:55pm the restaurants closing hours above on google are 9pm. Our first starers arrived at 9pm.

The braised short rib was dry and was a brisket cut of meat. The “carrots” were so shrivelled up we mistook them for bell peppers. We had asked about a sauce/gravy as there was very minimal didn’t even coat the potato, meat or veges, and they took it back put more sauce on top and gave it back to us.

We were starving after waiting an hour and 30 minutes so we ate, some dishes weren’t even edible so 1 hr and 30 minutes couldn’t make us hungry enough.

We were then waiting an hr after being served to ask about our bill being dealt with accordingly, no response.

we had to go into the restaurant to speak to management. Management also cruelly made the wait staff speak with us and did not speak to us directly.

This whole experience and the lying was extremely unprofessional. The staff avoiding us after making mistakes with our orders and was also unprofessional.

They took one meal off the tab, the “braised short rib”.

we were going to order dessert but after the unprofessional experience and waiting for 1.5 hrs and 30 mins for our food. Waiting for dessert would have been embarrassing. We left at 9:50.

All the tables on the patio that got their orders before us left before us.

We wanted communication, honesty, compensation AND an apology for any mistakes made by the restaurant. BUT not solely an apology as it doesn’t make up for our experience.

For a $400 tab this was an...

Harvest is a very nice restaurant with a classy interior, good music, a great cocktail selection, and excellent menu options. My partner and I went there for dinner for a well-needed date night. Both of our cocktails were brilliant, the bruschetta was among the best we've ever had, and both of our mains were delicious (although her duck was slightly overcooked). Nevertheless, I cannot give a five-star review in good conscience, as the service was honestly terrible. Upon arriving at the restaurant at the time of our reservation, which was roughly 1/3 full, no table was ready for us... After being seated at a table, one of the waiters came by to pour our waters and looked at us with a cold and blank stare and no greeting. Normally I am quiet and passive in public settings, but this felt so awkward that I decided to ask how his night was going and start some conversation, which received a response at least. That said, he did not introduce himself, nor did he ask us if we had been there before or if we had any questions about the menus. "Welcome to Harvest" is three words we definitely didn't hear. Not only this, but we appeared to have two different waiters throughout the night serving us and stepping on each other's toes, neither of whom introduced themselves to us or welcomed us. However, the worst part was that in the 90 minutes that we were at this restaurant, we didn't see a single one of the employees smile at all, not even once. The staff seemed incredibly disinterested and like they were desperately awaiting their moment to leave the restaurant. The atmosphere was tense, and the staff was terribly uninviting. Out of the five places we ate out at during our stay in Jasper, Harvest had the worst service by a large margin, it wasn't even comparable, yet their prices were also the highest. It wasn't worth it; for these reasons, we doubt we will ever...

Had a reservation for 7:30 ordered about 5 minutes after being seated. Didn’t get our appetizer until 8:05. After eating some of our appetizer to save room for our meal we pushed it to the side hoping to get our mains. We got asked how everything was because we weren’t eating & said we were trying to save room for our mains as we watch over 5 tables come after us & get their food before we did. We finally get our waiter to come at 8:45 when she tells us we have to ask for our mains because they weren’t sure if we were done with our appetizers. The one waiter also asked what we would like & we said our main meal, all he did was say okay walk & away. The same one who asked if we needed anything also told us at the end of our meal that we have to ask for our mains to come out when we’re done with our appetizer but you can’t make that happen when your waiter doesn’t check on you then it makes that hard to do especially when I have never been to a restaurant where I have to ask for my meal to be brought out. All they could come up with for compensation was by getting rid of the tip option which should be on our control anyways? Would never go again & would never recommend going Unless you like to be told that restaurants run that way. Food was not too good either steak was not done how I asked but I’m not sure if that’s because it was sitting in the back waiting for me to tell the waiter to...
