TERRIBEL & AWFUL SERVICE!! We're there last evening for dinner, the person who took our order (Shantanu his name) was so irresponsible and so was the management; after 35 mins of wait when we checked for the status second time, he just simply said "forgot"! My parents are very elderly people and it's for them we actually visited this place and they had to wait for their order from 8:05 to 8:40PM. WORST PART was, when I initially checked the status after 20 mins, he looked at the kitchen and said "your order is getting ready", which means he clearly bluffed us, he didn't even check. He was just requesting other customers next table about Reviews but at least he didn't bother to check our order status inspite of reminder and knew the fact that we're waiting for long time. AND the day before when we visited this place first time, there was another girl who initially came in to take order, she was so impatient as we requested her to give us 1 more min to decide 2nd time and then we wiated for her to take order, one of her co-worker noticed us waiting and asked her to take the order for which she rudely said from a distance"NOT ME! NO, NOT ME!!". She was not even servicing anyone at that moment and that's highligt! Also when I was waiting at the counter last night to check the status and let owner/employee know that we're waiting for a long time, they didn't even bother to address or just say "Hi", they "acted" as if they're busy apparently!! Still we went there because we usually understand sometimes it happens, even my parents said "it's ok, may be they are busy like that even when other customers who came later were served and leaving with take aways But with last night's awful experience, decided never to visit or look at this...
Read moreFirst of all, you don’t bribe the customer to give positive reviews on google in order to get gulab jamuns. Reviews should be based on honesty which i could see this restaurant will have none but just a bunch of customers who are looking for a free dish and a restaurant hiding their poor service and awfully made food. It was weekend, and we all know it was busy. But when a customer (4) walks in, and there is an empty table of six, servers shouldn’t be thinking whether to give this table or let them wait. If you don’t like the whole restaurant to be full, remove the tables and invite limited customers. Ask your servers to be more professional especially when customers open the door. Train them to be more welcome instead of wondering with confused looks on what we should with a new customer and a busy day.
Food was not the worse but awful. Due to limited options people who like indian food doesn’t have any other option. I don’t care about price and quantity, but i do care about quality. We ordered butter chicken which came with half cooked chicken and water gravy, kadhai paneer which was not bad(only reason to give one star), daal makhni- a basic indian dish cooked in almost every restaurant and this high priced indian restaurant doesn’t know how to cook.
Atmosphere was even worse. Due to busy day, slow service, confused servers and may be weather, people were getting annoyed. They were asking questions and looking for a simple answer while waiting for food. But the restaurant decided to ignore them, ignored the whole wait line just to bring their food early and let others in front of line wait for the food.
This restaurant used to be the best one in...

We had no choice but to dine at Haldi Restaurant in Jasper because we were traveling with young children who were hungry and options were limited. We were two families with four adults and several kids under the age of ten.
To our surprise, the restaurant added an eighteen percent service charge because we were a group of six or more. This policy was never mentioned to us, not listed on the menu, and not communicated in any way. It felt deceptive. In Banff, we dined at another restaurant with a similar policy, but they clearly stated it on the menu and confirmed that children were not counted toward the group size. As a result, we were not charged there. Haldi Restaurant, on the other hand, chose not to disclose this and charged us anyway.
The food was overpriced and the portions were extremely small. We ordered fish pakora expecting a generous serving based on the price, but received a tiny plate with no more than eight pieces. The goat curry was even worse—mostly bones with barely any meat. It was a complete waste of money.
I raised these concerns with the person at the counter who appeared to be the manager or owner. He refused to acknowledge any mistake and showed no interest in resolving the issue.
This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend Haldi Restaurant to anyone, especially families. There is a serious lack of transparency, poor value for money, and no...
