We travel to Jasper twice a year and Su Casa is one of our favorite spots to stop when we are in town. They offer authentic Mexican cuisine that is absolutely delicious.
We started with the Choriqueso appetizer (baked chorizo with cheese, served with flour tortillas, chips, and homemade salsa ). It was mouth-watering and there was an ample amount for three people to share.
Next, we tried several of the different types of tacos and all were incredible. My personal favorite was the pork taco followed closely by the fish taco. My wife loved the chorizo taco and the mushroom taco. Their homemade salsa was a wonderful accompaniment to all of the tacos we tried; just the right amount of heat and was very flavorful.
The atmosphere is vibrant and fun with an authentic Mexican feel. Service was excellent and our server was very friendly and helpful.
The prices were also fantastic! We walked away full and extremely happy with the meal we just had.
I cannot recommend Su Casa in Jasper enough. If you love Mexican cuisine you owe it to yourself to try this place. I can't wait for our next visit so we can eat their...
Read moreWe chose this place because of the good reviews ( with some lower rated) . Firstly the service was awful, our server took our drinks order then did not take a food order. We asked another server to take our food order but to no avail, they seemed chaotic and disorganised. They refused our son who is 28 alcohol because he didn't have ID. We finally ordered food. 2 appetisers and 4 mains. The food took ages then all came together ( mains and appetisers). The food was not great, one order of ribs were served tepid, as it was on the bone I called the waitress over, she gave me the choice of reheating or a new plate. I had literally eaten one 3rd of one rib so I asked for a new plate. It was returned to me after 15 minutes, it looked like my original plate as there was a 3rd of one rib missing. Ribs should be piping hot and they were still tepid so I sent them back and had them taken off the bill. The place was very quiet and there were plenty of staff. The other 3 plates were not great, lacking in flavour and not very hot. All in all not a great experience after a full days drive we...
Read moreWe ordered the fajitas and 4 tacos (Chicken, pork, chorizo and fish). As a white people Mexican cuisine enthusiast, this was average. The chicken fajitas were good, but there was little mexican ‘authenticity’ to it. Why it was all served in the one skillet, not too sure leaving the fajitas slightly soggy covered in refried beans. Pretty confident in the chicken being pre-frozen but the rub was decent. Fish taco tasty, chicken taco tasty, pork taco tasty, chorizo taco was super salty despite myself being a salt fiend. The missus ordered a pineapple mimosa that was pretty well just champagne where the pineapple component just sank to the bottom 20% of the glass. Overall not bad, decent service, good vibes, filling but could be improved with a bit more flavour and...
